For most of elfkind's existence, they lived hearty and healthy lives. Their diet typically consisted of fruits, veggies and lean meats and they walked and ran everywhere they went. This, combined with elves' naturally quick metabolism, resulted in the entire race being almost ubiquitously svelte and slender.
However, this changed once they were introduced to thing such as processed foods and other various modern day comforts created by humankind. Soon, their low fat diets became quickly replaced with delicious fast foods and sugary snacks. Instead of walking to their locations they utilized a variety of vehicles to travel even the shortest of distances or just stayed at home and had whatever they wanted delivered to them.
Because of this extreme change in lifestyle, their bodies and their seemingly magical resistance to gaining weight soon reacted and adapted to their decreased exercise and the increased caloric intake by slowing their legendary metabolisms to a crawl and fat padded onto them with supernatural speed. Before they had realized it, nearly the entire elven race had ballooned to humongous size!
It was especially noticeable in women. Their newfound jiggly forms had grown huge, bloated breasts, wide waists and even wider rears, and massive bellies that growled and bellowed for food every second of the day.
