After a long, crazy week, I finally had time to give this a proper listen. It really does have that feel of those simple but special night time moments...just laying face to face with your partner, sleepy eyes watching each other, relaxing into the relief and warmth of being all cuddled up together. Thank you for sharing such a personal, but totally priceless and lively story, with us. Your mom is a total character all on her own. My mother is a very kind and sweet lady but she can talk the horns off of a billy goat, God bless her soul! We would have been there until next week! :)) It was nice to just be able to concentrate on your voice and the story and not be ruminating over all the anxious thoughts in my head and puzzles to be pondered over ( my normal state when I try to sleep.) and of course...my favorite...those FLOOFY COVERS !!!!! Ngl, the bedtime stories are some of my fav audios, always cute and funny and restful and this one is no exception! Oof, I feel the struggle with parents not trusting the vaccine, and the relief when they end up getting it anyway. Mama Gael sounds like a handful! An apple not falling far from the tree situation, indeed—poor doctor 🤣

My Mum was a bad @ss. This is not what ppl should do, but she had the temper of a wild pony. She wanted specific Twinkle Toe shoes (light ups) for my daughter at 2. Specific pattern. Her friend brought out the wrong ones and she popped off and began hittin him with them. Well, Mum got cuffed and celled. The officers she hit would identify her weeks later as a legend crossed over. "That's the lady who hit me!" My Mum was short and walked 11 miles a day but had super human strength when mad. We have those twinkle toes ✨ and I remind my 12 yr old daughter how much her Gramma loves and looks after her during my daughter's trials to be herself in an beige alpha world. Course mama was a Libra and like Eminem and John Lennon, had a bone to pick with hypocrisy. Thankfully my Dad helped me clean up her stuff BUT I tried to warn him not talk bad about her. He had quite a bit of work to do and would come home "that b*t*h is still f****** me now" being he was worn out and exhausted. Each time he said something like that, the static in the radio would turn up wayyy high. She promised to make it known when she headed out from life, and to hear them bickering gave me little joys in bleak moments. Someone's always poppin off, thats how we love each other. It's nice to know someone will put up a hissy fit for you!

Your Mom’s vaccination story reminded me of my Papa and his doctor appointments. I wish I could record all those conversations that happened and still happen in Doctors office or hospitals... My father originally studied economics and law beside that he’s very much into politics but I swear I think he secretly studied medicine as well. My Mama says in Vienna all doctors know him and are scared of his medical knowledge. So every-time he has an appointment he obviously proves the docs and their treatment in many ways wrong 😂 And whenever I call him and ask how his appointment was? he says: ugh Vale, Austria’s healthcare system got a major problem. We need better doctors....that’s how he thinks Volks but I know he mind it in a fun way 😂 Anyways Gaelie, I think you very well know how much I love your bedtime stories 😍 you’re a good storyteller and your stories definitely put me to a peaceful sleep.... And as lovelies said, you’re a good son. A mischievous son but kind hearted and very cute 😘

First of all, I love how your mom calls people “cunts” and “pricks” as terms of endearment. Second, this makes me feel all the feels. We’re not just champions, we’re survivors. We have lived to turn the page. There’s another story here. A year ago, I/we were weighed down with so much grief and worry, so much has been out of our control. But, we helped each other through the worst and I feel so much gratitude for y’all and our Gaelie. I know we’re not completely out of the woods yet, but I love how we can now laugh about the new strangeness and drama around getting vaccinated. Thank you for this ❤️

They should put her on a coin cuz she’s an Irish treasure. 😂 I’m always sensitive to medication, vaccines, etc, so the 2nd dose of the Pfizer one put me down for nearly 2 days. Aches, chills, fatigue...but still glad I did it & grateful for the peace of mind. I also know how relieved I felt when mom got hers so I’m glad your parents will be protected as well! Forward progress. And “parcel of pricks” is a masterpiece. *add to road rage arsenal immediately
