I know a line in Hindi that says β¦βtu mera jigar haiβ which means you are my liver that perhaps means youβre my heart (if Iβm not wrong) β¦. and I heard a same phrase from a Persian friend of mine, from her Mom mostly and as well in Afghanistan (different language of course)β¦.

In some cultures, love is historically believed to come from the liver instead of the heart. And that old belief filters through their langauge today...like when the direct translation of their words for "my love" or "my darling" would be "my liver"
Or they would have phrases, when directly translated would be "I will give you my liver" or "you are the liver of my life"
I don't know why I just thought to share that...but...anyway. haha. Probably cuz there that famous saying that it he best way to someone's heart is through their stomach. Hehe.
