I actually would. If you posted a monero address I would donate just based on the content of yours I already like and already benefited my life without any extras.

One of my latest videos is on DeepSeek. I mostly tall about the motives behind open sourcing it and it how it's going to affect the big tech stranglehold on AI.
The reasoning/thinking part of DeepSeek is interesting. It makes you wait for the final output that much longer though which can be annoying at times.
It's still an LLM that's about just as flawed as anything coming fromOpenAiI or Google. Not a huge breakthrough.

Can you or have you already spoken about how DeepSeek is different than ChatGPT? I apologize if I missed it but I have seen some videos talk about how it is different than GPT in that it answers a questions and shows how it got that answer which is closer to reasoning. Is that significant at all compared to existing LLMs?

I edited my comment since I posted it, so you might want to check the edit also. I understand and agree there should be an option. I used to be open to accepting crypto donations but those people would get nothing in return because it wouldn't be tied to any subscriptions. The crypto donations are minuscule compared to Patreon. I guess that's always gonna be the case for years to come. Crypto users are still a very tiny, fringe minority compared to the mainstream.
Would you be happy if you could just donate to my wallet and not get access to my other content?

Agreed. None of the decentralized are a sure bet. I wouldn’t put all your eggs in one basket, but an alternative route for payments just offers those who want it an option. I imagine with your privacy focus you might get more than you think.
I hesitated for many months to join Patreon, because I just want to keep my corporate information footprint minimal. I wouldn’t be surprised if you have a lot more followers than you think who are in that boat

I understand what you are asking for. And believe me, I want a platform where I can be free and have more stability. But the problem with many of the "decentralized" platforms is that they are often backed by dubious cryptocurrency schemes that either go under or become illegal. Some models are more legitimate than others, but either case required that I selfhost, otherwise I am just renting someone else's space and that's no different than trusting a centralized platform. It might even be worse.
A lot of people are suggesting these "decentralized" platforms as the one and only salvation but they are not and often introduce other hosts of problems. I am not defending Patreon nor any other centralized platform. We just have to realize that without a sustainable business model we can trust, decentralized platforms will never be a true solution that will last.
Edit: accidentally pressed sent to soon. I wanted to that Bitcoin is not more private nor more censorship resistant from the standpoint of supporting content creators. Bitcoin is in fact worse than fiat currency. Monero is more private, but I am not aware of any platform that allows me to manage content and offer tiers to supporters through it. People could donate Monero but I wouldn't be able to give them anything in return.
Mind you, I am not discounting those concerns you have. I share them all. It is very stressful for me to have this fear that I might be deleted over night and could do nothing about it. I am always looking for an alternative I could get behind and help boost its presence with my content. Such platform, however, cannot just appeal to people who already are convinced. I need to be able to reach the "normies" on mainstream social media. I wanna be able to have more options and give more options. As a one-man project, it's a big struggle managing what I have already. I will have to grow more in order to be able to afford stable help and have others to delegate some work to. Otherwise, I am stuck.

I really appreciate all you do for privacy, Hated One, but it’s frustrating that we can only see your content and financially support you with corporate “walled gardens” that are definitely spying on us and can censor your content on a whim.
Have you ever consider an open source platform like Nostr, and letting us support in open-source harder-to-track ways like Bitcoin or Monero?
I joined Patreon particularly to support your content, but I’m sure I’m not the only one who would love to follow you on an uncensorable platform and support you with anonymous money.
