The Forge: From Below

Dirt and root hang from the dark wooden chest, plastered onto it from the countless years spent in the depths of the dungeon, buried beneath the skeletons of dwarves. Thick clumps of the black soil break away and spill onto the stone floor of Kuvra's forge. He brushes away the brown and black, revealing an old iron lock beneath.
"It's duergar, those pale dwarves that live in the world below. They sometimes tunnel up into the dungeon, using it to hide away from predators or as a place to set up small outsposts. Either way the group you found certainly didn't make it back out. They surely met one of the long standing residents. Hopefully Geff didn't get to them..." He pauses, starring off into the distance, considering some unspeakable fate before shaking his head and returning to the old chest.
"When it comes to duergar, there's always a trap. Something simple and terribly painful." He turns the chest away from the both of you and with one mighty jerk, rips off the lock with his bare hand. A dozen darts, black as shadow, fire off into a corner of the forge, clanking off the walls and floor.
With the trap removed we crack open the chest, revealing the odd treasures held inside. As is tradition, I took one with me to discover its secrets.
