2024-03-25 19:31:33 +0000 UTCI really got the feeling Eu doing it was more of “he has unfinished business which is his guilt for hunting my parents so I NEED to absolve him to prevent him from becoming by a vengeful spirit” and less “I wanna come talk to him cuz any other reasons”. And my explanation for Dana was more specifically due to Cyrus pointing out how she had been basically ignoring him (she wasn’t, she just couldn’t hear or see him like she was with death). I also kinda just assumed she was there with everyone just not explicitly mentioned because there was no interaction (then again she could have been avoiding jt cuz she has no emotions although I feel like there was a reference in a prior book where she’s been kinda back and forth with emotions since she had sex with Mike when she was zombie raging during the Oregon arc)

2024-03-15 02:02:22 +0000 UTCI get why she might not have been able to see him (though as you say, neither could Eu, and she still came out to talk to him), but even being name-dropped by the author more than once, she didn't show up at his funeral? Besides, Lily could see him, and Dana and Lily have a thing, so I presume Dana knows exactly what's going on. Mike even mentions taking the long way around so the others could get there, but none of those others is Dana? My take is that they had a relationship, and she would have shown up for the memorial service.

Thats why when Eulalia came out to tell him she forgave him, Grace hit the arm of the chair and says “papa Cyrus” (like “he’s right here”) and Eulalia never looks him in the eye she’s kinda looking past/away from him. She can’t see him either and her whole apology is kinda jumbled, because who wouldn’t have a hard time speaking to a spirit that they can’t even confirm is there and has to rely on someone else telling them.

He was forgiven by Eulalie and Darrel's invitation to visit the homestead in the after life shows that he will be on good terms with Ana and Velvet.

Hints have been given that he will be a future villain if not the next villain in Book 8. It seems that he has a vast knowledge of cryptics as he has performed multiple surgeries on his victims. Perhaps the Curator can be put to better use once he is defeated by Mike. I wonder if he is also a Player in the game or if his interest in Mike is because he considers him a weak link whose demise would bring him in the Game?

2024-03-03 02:36:28 +0000 UTCAs much as I would love for the time manipulating substance that is Santa’s blood to be used to ‘roll back’ Tink’s years, given the implications it would probably revert her entire existence to an earlier model, i.e. a past version of herself that wouldn’t have any memories of the passing years. Just seems like the proper give and take on temporal magic. I have a sneaking suspicion, given past hints and dialogue, that the blood will come in handy once the finale begins and not before…but that’s just me, considering the ideas of what Mike is transforming into.

I'm so touched by the depth of caring/love for each other. You reveal so much wisdom in their interactions. It's obvious that you know what you are talking about, and write from the heart. At times like Cyrus's redemption and goodbyes, you write pure and beautiful poetry. You started on Literotica with smut plus real characters. I started reading for the smut (which you do really well!) but what hooked me is your fascinating and emotionally involving characters and their weird but wonderful community... and the great adventures too! I'm going back to literotica and un-favoriting all the authors except you! Love ya...

It's also possible she was too upset emotionally, especially since her ability to process emotions is still messed up. Since they didn't want him to know he was dead yet, she might have been avoiding him so as to not tip him off.

I’m worried about Tink’s hair turning grey, if she goes Mike is in real trouble mentally. I can’t wait to see where the story goes from here. I do hope though that we get to see more of Ingrid and our favorite werewolf together. I’m excited by the idea of a “New Order” with those two leading it.

Mike has already used two vials if I remember correctly for the dial outside the house so we have one left. We assumed that it was for Dana but what if it is for Tink for whatever ailment she might have in the future? Goblins live to around 60 years or so unless things are different in this universe as Tink is a different kind of Goblin. I know that there are hints that Mike is ascending to a higher purpose so I hope that he takes Tink and Kisa with him. The future house where grey haired Calisto provided the spell to save Mike didn't seem to have any occupants. Yuki and Ratu are also on a path of ascension while Beth already lives part time in the house. Perhaps we don't need a refuge in a future where magic and magical beings are out in the open.

2024-02-29 07:23:39 +0000 UTCI was kind of surprised with Papa Cyrus at the house but I guess that my earlier prediction that he’ll make sacrifices for the kids came out to be true. It was a fitting end to Book 7. I might finally read Last of Her Kind after putting it off for so many months. Tink getting pregnant was a nice surprise. Hopefully, she won’t be leaving us soon with all that talk of the grey hair just like Arachnids can live for a while even after loosing that youthful look. I do wonder if Callisto is getting another brother along with what happens next after an extended honeymoon with Leilani. Eulalie, Ratu and Yuki have shown no interest in having babies but will be it too much to have human kids in this crazy but loving family?
