Something that has saved Curry a great deal from being targeted by the media the same way as Kawhi or KD as a threat to Lebron is that not only does Curry play a different position from Lebron, but his style of play & lack of athletic dominance makes it to where he can somewhat “fly under the radar” as the most impactful & best player of the last 7 years due to it taking true basketball intelligence to understand his game. And he’s the perfect global marketing figure for the NBA today (a light-skin “black” American player that’s kid-friendly, has a clean image as a family man, & can be pushed as relatable everyman) As you mention about autocorrect COJ, I think when years pass & if Steph wins at least 1 more championship, FMVP, & either an MVP or multiple 6th man of the years, people will look back on this era as his era. Especially because, since Steph has ascended into his prime in 2014-15, he’s won more titles than Lebron (4-2)

With the exception of Shaq, Dirk Nowitski beat every other comparable superstar in the post season at least once....and this is with by far the least amount of supporting talent. The 2000's Western Conference was loaded with great teams and the Mavs went to the Finals twice with Jason Terry as their second best player. The Mavericks Championship run in 2011 is the greatest in NBA history in terms of the superstar talent/teams the Mavs defeated. Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Kevin Durant, Dwayne Wade, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Pau Gasol and Chris Bosh all lost to Dirk and the Mavs in one post season run. On paper...all those teams should have defeated the Mavs....but games are not played on paper.
