Heeey, good morning, evening or afternoon, so we have a lot of news about the new version of TWD. The final build will be available in the next few days, so here's the new stuff:
New enemy added - The goat demon enemy was added to the game. This will be a boss battle and will have several special interactions. This enemy can be male or female depending on the player's preference or a completely random gender;
Critical Hits - Added critical hits to the game, everytime you roll a natural 20 either with basic attacks or class abilities it will be a crit and will double the total damage. It will be possible to focus on the crit builds, which leads us to the next topic;
Rogue class overhaul - I changed the two most important rogue class abilities, now it works completely different (More info below);
New text and proofreading - Several text improvements and new tutorials available in the class abilities tab. Now the player can see a more detailed calculation of attack rolls and class ability rolls.
Now about the new rogue abilities, we have the following.
Before:
Backstab (1d6 + Dexterity) The dexterity damage bonus is doubled.
Dirty Trick (1d10 + Dexterity) The dexterity damage bonus is doubled.
Now:
Backstab (1d6 + Dexterity) The damage is doubled. Triple damage on critical hits.
Dirty Trick (1d10 + Dexterity) You land critical hits with 19 and 20. Triple damage on critical hits.
Basically, the rogue is now more of a gambling class, the way it should be. After testing for several days, I can say it's super fun and satisfying when you get a critical hit with a rogue. In the future, items to improve crit will be available too.
This was an important change, since we received several complaints about rogue class being underwhelming.
Finally, the stuff I'm currently working that that probably won't be in this update yet, are:
Sellers;
Special abilities (That will be possible to buy with energy);
NSFW status (you know what I mean);
New status condition (Frightened, Grappled, Charmed, Poisoned, Prone, Burning);
Credits page for all our supporters.
Phew that's it. Thank you all so much.
