Animation Showcase: Toddler Interactions!

Hello everyone, Alice here! ☀️🍂🧺🍪

Today is a good day to show you what Lina and I have been working on recently: Toddler Animations! To showcase these, I made a short video that you can watch at the top of this Patreon Post. ⬆🎥

🎥 The Animations in the Video

In case you missed it, you can find the previous animation showcase about babies in this Patreon post. Also, the music you can hear in today's video is Andrei's music called Inner Child. We shared it in this previous post here!🎵

🐸 A Few Words About the Animations

For these and like always, Lina and I brainstormed first and then made a list of all the toddler animations we would need before Early Access, from the highest to the lowest priority. Right now we’re focusing on the essentials, like basic social interactions and needs animations. We still have a good amount of animations to create for this life stage, and we plan to continue working on these for a good part of November as well!

For the Changing Animation, we will add a blur effect on the Toddler later on when the interaction is happening. You may also have noticed that the Toddler’s bed doesn’t have sheets yet, we will add them later with proper animation on it!

Finally, please note that everything shown today is still a work in progress and might change and evolve in time, some of these are already being tweaked as we speak. ✨

🔜 What’s Next?

Once we have a good base for toddler animations, we will switch our focus to Kids! We are pretty excited about them because they will be able to do a lot more than Toddlers.🎈 With programmers now actively working on the Live Mode, we will also be able to test more and more animations in-game with their gameplay.

This is it for today! Lina and I are having a lot of fun working on these, and we really hope you’ve enjoyed seeing some of our recent work. Please feel free to share your feedback and ask away if you have any questions in the comment section below. We’re always happy to hear your ideas and opinions. 💌

💫 Quick question before I go, are there any Toddler interactions that you would like to see in the game?

Have a great cozy-fall-weekend! 🍄‍🟫🌰🍁🫕🥧

I love Sasha, she's so cute! I will say though, there's something off about the way she stands. I can't exactly pinpoint it but I think that she's standing a bit to confidently

Crystal Lover

Love it but with the toddler making a mess or refusing to eat it would nice to see their clothes having stains or mouth dirty. With the refusing maybe the food could probably end up on the floor. I know y'all are the beginning maybe will add it end later. So exciting regardless.

Tiffany Perry

I would like to make sure there’s lots of interactions available between toddlers and Paras of all ages, so for example they aren’t super limited in interactions with their child aged siblings or something.

Kayleigh

Oooh! Dunno if it’s possible, but sitting on counters? Playing in toilets, playdoh

Savannah Hutchison

i am SO ready!! i've been following this development for years 🥹

Nephie A.

The animations are cute, but I'm distracted by how adorable the kids clutter is. Those little picture books on the book case, the dino lamp, and the bear inspired bed are all so adorable.

Thaaeroprincess87

Hiii, we're aiming for Early Access in 2025! ✨

Alice

i like sasha when she was a baby better because she was so cute back then

mollie

well this is cute but maggie will be my parfolk and she will get a new job as a coffee shop barista and adopt a baby named george not a toddler named george

mollie

oh how cute

mollie

Omg I so excited waiting for this game 🤩when is will be available?♥️

freski lp

A fellow early child educator! I love this comment and am grateful for your insight

Sophie Goodman-Merel

Awwww! 💚

pekeniax

Hi Michelle, thank you so much for your kind words! We're very happy you like it, thank you for your support!❤️

Alice

Yes, definitely! 😊

Alice

Thumb sucking. I've seen some kids suck their two middle fingers also.

Corinne Gross

I always enjoy the smoothness of the animation. Since it's not the regular 3D that we are used to, it makes a standout and adds that stunning uniqueness to the game as I mentioned before it reminds me of some of those cute short animated movies that me and my husband love so much. By the way, I am tending to both extremes - I like ultra-realism in games, but also crave a more cartoonish look as well, sometimes! The animation of the people and the environment in Paralives creates one warm sensation, an atmosphere that really hooked me up. Everything, that you have displayed until this moment is so great the music, the gameplay, and the fresh look! It makes it harder to wait for the release, but for me, it will be worth it.

Michelle Koleva

Hi Nathalie! Yes, we're planning to work on the tantrum this this month!😄✨ Thank you so much.❤️

Alice

Hi! Other than the visual effects, we might come up with a specific clothing item that could be equipped while a Parafolks is using the toilet, technically that would be the easiest way to do. Creating a "toilet version" of each clothing piece option would not be possible considering the size of our team. Please note that everything shown in the video is still a work in progress. 😊 Thank you so much for the suggestions, taking notes! ✨📝

Alice

Yes! The dance is planned for this month's work! 😊

Alice

Hi Bethy! Retakes were already made for the changing animation, however I'd love it if we could add a more challenging version haha. And yes, a tantrum and dancing animations are planned for this month's work. 😊 Taking notes of your suggestions (I love the sleeping one haha, I used to sleep like this as a kid!). ❤️📝 Thank you so much! ❤️

Alice

We can't confirm much regarding personalities yet, but I would love this as well! 😊

Alice

Thank you so much! I agree, I also love this version of Andrei's music!! ❤️✨😊

Alice

Hi! Here are the Life Stages planned so far: Baby, Toddler, Child, Pre-teen, Teen, Adult, Elder. Please note that this list is not final and it might still change before the Early Access release as we keep working on the live mode and the growing up process! 😊

Alice

Yes I agree, it is planned! :)

Alice

Thank you so much!! 🥹❤️ I'm so happy you like them, I had a lot of fun working on these! Thank you so much for your suggestions, taking notes! 📝✨

Alice

Thank you! Yes, more toddler animations are planned for November. 😊

Alice

Hi! Yes, everything is still a work in progress. The visual effects were missing (blur effect and toddler actually changing outfit) and will be added later on. Retakes were also planned for this animation and have been done the last few days. :)

Alice

Yes, love that! ❤️📝

Alice

Hii, thank you so much for sharing, this is very helpful! Taking notes! 📝❤️

Alice

Thank you for your support Derek! 😊✨

Alice

Aw yes, I'd love that!! ❤️🥹

Alice

Hii, thank you for the feedback!❤️📝

Alice

Thank you so much, we're so happy you like it! ❤️

Alice

Merci beaucoup! 🥹

Alice

Elle est trop adorable j'aime beaucoup les animations.

KittyPara

The toddler is so cute! Loving the interactions that we do have so far. Of course, I can't wait to see more. And as for KIDS; I'm so excited to see some of their gameplay as well

Jordan Harrison

I really love it , the toddler looks so adorable, one thing I will say that needs maybe to improve is the toddler standing position, the toddler seems to stand like an adult parafolk kind off 🙊😅 maybe a more toddlerish standing could be great if you can of course ^^

Evlin Boo

So cute! And generally playing with baby dolls or stuffed animals

Toto

I always look forward to learning more about more this game! Can't wait to play it in 2025!

Derek Warren

an animation of toddler trying to push a stroller would so cute too!

Ashley Brent

This looks great so far! I'd love to see animations for toddlers hugging their favourite stuffed toy and carrying it round with them. My two-year-old God-daughter carries hers everywhere.

Mooncinder

Hmm thinking of a few common behaviors/actions, as someone who works in childcare. Toddlers will point (or just look) at things and ask what they are, even if all they can say is "da" (that). Toddler hugs are very cute, my heart melts whenever they run over excitedly and hug my legs in the morning. Peekaboo is still a classic, but they've upgraded from just hiding their face in their hands to popping out from behind an object such as a playset. I'll peek in through the playset window and say "hello!", lean out of sight, and repeat over and over and they mimic, never getting tired of it. They are very messy eaters, bibs are still a must with applesauce and gogurt. Most of them love being held upside down or given piggyback rides. Some common mischief is climbing onto shelves, windowsills, etc, trying to roll over or touching where you don't want their hands while changing their diaper, pulling hair, taking toys (even if it requires pushing another kid off), and the dreaded biting. It would be nice to have some "undesirable" behaviors like these that a para can get frustrated by and try to correct (modeling good behavior is going to be more effective than scolding, but it's not like no one's ever been frustrated and complained anyways). These are some overall things you guys could try to implement, but I agree with others that every toddler is already showing their unique personality. Whether they keep to themselves and place their toys in an organized line, are a social butterfly and "adventure" in ways that have you chasing after them in concern (safety locks are very important!), or any number of things in between. Looking forward to what you guys end up doing!

RysingSun

Very cute so far, but as for your question: I want more chaos, toddlers like to hit their toys against things and throw stuff, tantrums! Tugging on people's outfits/hair. Drawing on the walls. Fighting against the person holding them

Cecilia Ward

yes there will be

Lucie Baha

I think they'll be fine-tuning this in the future.

Lucie Baha

I think they just haven’t added the objects for the animation yet. Like a diaper object? That’s why it looks odd

Maxx

One animation that definitely needs work is the changing clothes or diapers because there was no animation whatsoever🤪🤦🏻‍♂️

John Bergstrom

Those are some good starter animations hopefully someone expands on them over the coming years

John Bergstrom

Awww 🥺 I loved each animation! Especially the reading on the floor to standing. Also, if no one has mentioned it yet, it would be adorable to see a para toddler climb into their parent's/sibling's lap to watch TV with them or reach for a snack their parent is eating lol, something to that effect would be cute. Thanks for sharing Alice & Lina, this was too precious 💕 Can't wait to see what else is in store in 2025 😍

ZLoves

Yes!

Chance

Toddler hugs are a big one for me

Cheabug

I can’t remember, is there a preteen stage?

Chloe-oe-o

This is so sweet and I love the music so much

Crow Fielding

I would love for the toddlers to have some personality, e.g. preferences regarding food, play, books, etc. At this age they are already so different from one another, though, some things are universal of course.

Íris Sól Þrastardóttir

Hahaha these are so cute - as the mum of a toddler though I must say that the changing nappy and clothing animation needs a bit more, "wrestling an alligator" energy 🤣 I'm also assuming that there will be a more dramatic "tantrum" animation as compared to the crying one. No seriously these all look very cute! I think with using the potty a nice tweak would be to have the toddler lean forwards a little - especially if they're trying to go number 2s. For sleeping, it would be cute to see a variation where they sleep on their belly with their butt up in the air! I would also love to see dancing, uncoordinated jumping (not actually getting both feet off the ground at once lol), and putting stuff in their mouths. Can't wait to see more of them interacting with their environments and what you do with the kids!

Bethy Grace

No worries, we'll have the blur effect added at some point! 😄

Alice

These are planned yes! ❤️

Alice

Hi, thank you so much for the ideas, taking notes! 📝❤️

Alice

Y'all are doing amazing as always, what you accomplish as a small dedicated team is genuinely inspiring 💖 I fully have faith that you're making great decisions about what's a priority 😊

nemo

Hii, yes I agree! Being a small team we have to choose our battles and start with the basics first, but I agree with everything you said and we hope to do as much as possible for Early Access! 💖 I too, thought of doing a nose picking animation, it is in our Nice-To-Have list ahaha!

Alice

Hii, thank you so much! ❤️ Yes, that would be super cute, I'm writing it down! 😊

Alice

Thank you! ❤️We have it, it is shown in the video around 1:28! It might be a bit confusing because right now we don't have the blur censoring effect and the toddler visually changing outfit, but with the programmers now actively working on the Live Mode features, this should be fixed soon! 😊

Alice

Hi Lucie, thanks so much!❤️ - Yes that is our goal! - If by infants you mean babies, I think you will yes! You'll probably have less customisation options than for toddlers though. Just to be sure, this could be a good question for the next DevChat, Sonia or Léa could give you a better answer than me. :)

Alice

Thanks! Yes, one animation is planend this month for tantrums haha

Alice

So cute! I hope we'll get to see an animation for toddlers throwing tantrums! (aka une bonne crise de bacon ;))

Und3rgr0und -

Hi! Yes blur and other visual effects will be added later. :) Maybe they will switch automatically to a different outfit when using the potty, this is still very much a work in progress. ✨

Alice

Looking amazing!!!! Toddlers are one of my favorite lifesim stages and I get so excited every time y'all share development on them. As for interactions I'd hope for, I think just making sure they have a decent amount of both independent actions and social interactions with all life stages. Like kids, I definitely hope the kids will be able to take care of and play with the toddlers as much as adult paras! This is random and silly but I'm also totally picturing a nose picking idle animation for that toddler 😂

nemo

That was very cute. I hope we can have the toddlers playing with other toddlers and even the older kids playing with the toddlers, and each other obviously. For the older kids it would be nice to have games for them to play together, like tag or hide and go seek, and of course kicking or throwing a ball around to each other. We don't have anything like that with The Sims 4, I miss that.

Clara M Johnson

Can we maybe get animations of them playing with toys or maybe watching a show for little kids on TV. The toddler so far is very cute

Alexi

Haha yes! Thank you so much! 📝✨

Alice

Hi! Alice here. :) Thank you for all the suggestions and feedback, it is really appreciated❤️ I'll just copy an answer I wrote a bit above regarding toddlers locomotion and movements: We understand there are many variations in how toddlers move and grow. As a small team, we've had to make choices. :') For now, our toddlers will be able to walk, crawl, climb, and navigate stairs independently. We may explore more advanced motor skills and development in the future, but probably not before Early Access. :)💖

Alice

We'll do our best! 😄❤️✨

Alice

Thank you for all the suggestions! 💖📝

Alice

Hii, thank you so much, we're so glad you like them! 💖 Taking notes! The dancing is already planned for this month though. 😊

Alice

Yes! Later on we'd like to add all sorts of visual effects like tears, bad odor clouds, flowers when something smells good, sparkles when something is clean etc. 😄

Alice

In general I’m just excited to be playing a new game 🤧🫡🫶🏽✊🏽👏🏽👏🏽💜💜💜

LBoogie

Same! We'll try to add as much as possible! 😊

Alice

Alice

these are fantastic, especially the book reading and crying animations, and the way they crawl out of bed backwards <3 toddlers develop incredibly fast and the spectrum of behaviour between any 1.5yo and any 5yo is so, so vast. showing all that in just one set of animations (everything between infant and school kid) is always going to have to be a compromise. are they able to crawl, walk, climb stairs? whichever way you go, it's going to be "unrealistic" for a big number of the toddlers that are meant to be represented here. just my two cents, i think you've been doing a great job with this <3!

Sehrys

All these people saying what Paras should be wearing on the toilet - you shouldn't be looking! How would you like it if strangers commented on what you were wearing on the toilet?

I JONES

I can’t wait to play with the para toddlers I hope it is a lot of activities to do with them

LBoogie

Hi! Yes haha, I totally see what you mean with the staring and I love this idea. 😄

Alice

Yes I agree! ❤️

Alice

Thank you so much!! Yes, tantrum and messing/playing with food animations are planned for this month. And we have one crawl for them as well. :) Taking notes!

Alice

Thank you for all the ideas Laura! 📝❤️

Alice

Thank you! Very cute ideas, thanks! 📝✨

Alice

Are you guys considering on adding tears when the Paras are crying? I would like to see that.😊💖

PinkRosie

This is sooo cute!! (Especially the book interaction) I would love to see singing and dancing animations! But for the live mode, pleassse don't make Paras absolutely OBSESSED with taking care of children & babys, like in a certain *other* game...😅😅

Makingmacaroonracoon

So cute! My animation suggestions would be playing with toys, playing with other toddlers, playing with pets, socializing with older paras, dancing, singing and eating. Maybe also running around and splashing in water. I vaguely remember a pram being in the game, and I think pushing toddlers in a stroller or pram would be a fun way to keep them engaged with the world.

Toto

No pressure 😂 but family life in these types of simulators is my absolute favorite part. I’m super excited as originally I didn’t even know Paralives was going to have babies and toddlers 🥰 the biggest thing is interaction and immersion. I know you guys got this! 🙌

Jennifer

Hi Lina, thanks for posting about yours and Alice's work ! It really feels like you have already covered a lot of essentials ! Interactions I'd love to see are mostly food related, like eating something and liking it, or the opposite, eating something and being disgusted (there is one thing and one thing I love about toddlers in That Other Game™ 4, and it's how they taste different foods for the first time !), spilling food, that sort of stuff. Toddlers have this oral obsession and put everything to their mouth, so an animation about bringing someting to their mouth and sort of "sucking" on it just to see how it feels would be a great addition. However, something bothers me a bit. Toddlers are really cute, but what age are they supposed to be ? Sasha looks really tall and seems to have good coordination, as if she's closer to 5 than she would be to 2 years old. It strikes me for instance when she tries to get up from a sitting position (on the floor especially, but also on the potty) : she has very good balance ! I think it'd be great to show more awkwardness, or more weight shifting. The animation doesn't really need to take longer, just moving the center of gravity a bit and making the arms move to try and keep straight, or pressing on the knees to help reach the standing position, would suffice. I'm not sure I'm explaining well however ^_^; Sorry !

ladyteruki

Wha I'd love to see: *Sucking thumb ( and maybe having older para teach them not to) Often I see toddlers hold a soft toy in the hand they are sucking the thumb on to and I think it would be so awesome to have. I'd love for there to be a level of grossness to toddlers, like they pick their nose or smear a snack on the wall like yogurt or banana. Toddlers are cute and I'm sure you'll nail that part, but they are also super messy and quite gross sometimes, though the perants tend to even find the gross things cute sometimes.

Aryel Draijer

These all look good except the using the potty while still wearing the onesie - it's like they're just going in their diaper while sitting down. Perhaps using a blur while showing onesie around the feet?

Revannia

Having them use a potty wearing a onesie looks a little strange. Even if it was blurred we'd know a toddler would need to pull the top down to use the potty. But the same would go for an adult using the toilet in a one piece swimsuit, so that's a suspension of disbelief issue on my end. On a related note, I'd like to see toddlers fighting parents attempts to dress them. Maybe they can autonomously remove a top layer of clothing (shoes/socks, shirt, pants) or make a fussing/running animation when a parent goes to change them. It would also be fun to see toddlers wearing clothes incorrectly like socks on hands (or a number of other ways that would be harder to animate).

BonaparteBardithion .

We definitely need a cute toddler dance animation that looks like a mini drunk adult 😂

bonkybon

As a crying option you could add throwing a tantrum 🤣 would be nice. But the animations are very good so far 😁😁👍👍

Nathalie Carluccio

Thank you so much Ellen❤️ We would love to do more, you all have so many great suggestions!

Alice

Thank you!!❤️

Alice

Hi! Thank you so much, we're very happy you like it. ❤️

Alice

Oh yes, we talked about maybe having a sandpit for toddlers and kids! ❤️

Alice

Merci beaucoup! C'est noté❤️

Alice

Oh boy! Haha, I can't wait. Ya'll always amaze me with your creativity and talent! <3

Madragal

Thank you! ❤️ Yes, we will work on the climbing stairs for toddlers this month! :)

Alice

Thanks! ❤️

Alice

A tantrum animation is coming haha

Alice

Thank you!❤️

Alice

I agree, that is such a cute touch! ❤️ Yes for now we only have this "confident" animation, but maybe later on we'll have variations depending of their motor skills? (not confirming anything on that though)

Alice

I knoww❤️

Alice

Thank you Lisa!! ❤️

Alice

Hi, thank you! ❤️ No, for now only babies will use the cribs. :)

Alice

Hi! Yes haha, a tantrum animation is planned for this month! Love the idea about picking random things so much❤️

Alice

Thank you so much, we're so happy you like it! ❤️Taking notes, love the "new foods" idea! (Your english is great!)

Alice

Les animations sont superbes et bien réalisées ❤️😻 comme proposition. J’ai le faite de porter l’enfant au dos et sur les épaules. Ce serait super mignon 🥹 Continuez comme ça !!

Yassou 야

Aw so many great ideas, thank you!❤️❤️

Alice

You are making an amazing work to create this game. ^^ Maybe you could add the abilities to toddlers to play in sand ? just an idea !

AngeHellback

Estefani Oliveira

I really enjoy seeing all the progress and the love for details. Keep up the good work ❤️🚀

Florian B

Aw love that! Thank you❤️

Alice

Thank you so much! 🥹❤️

Alice

I love this!! The animations are really good and I genuinely love the idle ones where the toddler is wiping their face. I like you showing what you're prioritizing and why. It's really cool to see the process!

Ellen Kaluza

As usual, everything you've shown is good. I have two questions: Do you plan to have children and teenagers interact with toddlers and infants? I know we could create toddlers in the paramaker, but could we create infants in the paramaker?

Lucie Baha

I loved the little interactions ❤️❤️ I would love to see diaper changing interaction tho, but maybe it's already on yall to do list

Luiza Alves

So cute, and I love the attention to detail - especially the climb out of bed and potty face! I would love to see a toddler interaction where they put an upturned bowl on their head - especially if it's empty and they're using it as a hat/helmet for dressing up (speaking of which, are there plans for a dress-up box?), along with a wooden spoon as a wand or sword. Or it could be a very messy meal time interaction! Another thing I can imagine (for down the track maybe) is a toddler sitting near an open kitchen cupboard with a few items on the floor around them - toddlers love playing with pots and pans, or bowls and containers. :)

Margaret Chatwin

Aww I'm sorry haha, thank you!!❤️

Alice

Hiii, yes, the dancing animation is planned for this month! Very excited to work on this one.❤️

Alice

Aw thank you Cece!❤️❤️

Alice

Thank you Stewby!! Taking notes.❤️❤️

Alice

Thank you so much Ashley!❤️

Alice

Thank you so much Pedro!! Taking notes right now! 📝❤️

Alice

Hi Melina, thank you so much! ❤️ I agree with the dancing, it is planned to create for this month! 😄

Alice

Hello, as always I'm amazed how animations looks <3 About toddler animation that I'd loved to see - Toddler staring at another para (kids often wierdly stares at other people hah), this could be expanded by giving Paras different reactions like awkward or just returning the smile.

Argon

I would loooove to see interactions and animations between babies, toddlers and kids. It would be wonderful

Una_simple_ kpoper

I'm a toddler nanny and I feel my Time Has Come. Some suggestions: -Tantrums. Like throwing themselves on the floor when they are Very Angry or Very Sad -Throwing food on the floor while eating -Picking up Random Items and trying to eat them. -Sometimes when they try to get out of bed they fall. Or just clumsy in general. Like they should falls in their butt when walking sometimes maybe? -Oh and even though they can walk/run toddlers still like to crawl sometimes

Jax

Thank you Anna! ❤️ Yes I would love this too!!

Alice

Hi! Thank you so much for your kind words.❤️Line did a great job with the potty animations, I agree!! Activity tables are not planned before Early Access as we still need to create many other basic animations. However, this is definitely something we're considering, and I'm eager to work on it! 😄

Alice

Amazing post as always! ideas for toddler animations: -throwing tantrums -throwing things like food or toys -building with blocks -drawing on the wall and on paper -waving bye -not sharing toys -playing and cuddling with a plushie -playing with different toys -playing in the toilet -making a mess -singing or reacting to singing (e.g. someone sings them a nusery rhyme or even teaching them one) -an animation where they eat something from the floor or eating sand at a beach/snow in winter -toddlers fighting with each other -toddlers playing together -toddlers hugging each other -if you guys ever add a toddler slide or climbing element, animations for that -toddlers using a toy car (Bobby-Car) -a playing in the water animation -dancing

Laura Butterfly

Oh these are SO cute!! Asking for uppies would be vv cute and so would being able to pass a toddler (or infant) to another character, introducing a toddler to strangers, and hiding behind a parent when being introduced to a stranger!

Ariel L

Thank you so much! Taking notes📝✨

Alice

Sooo cute! Sasha is so cute! For animations: Throwing things at other paras or on the floor Pick up things and putting it into their mouth. Dancing ..well bopping to music Drawing on the floor or walls Pushing someone away that they don't want to hug them or running away when they don't want to be picked up or just toddling away while laughing. As always great job and thanks for the smile!

Maxayn Henderson

Wonderful work as always! Such sweet and natural animations. I never thought I would be excited by an animation of a parafolk going to the toilet, but I loved the potty animation! The attention to detail was great with how they plop themselves down, wiggle their feet and scrunch up the face. The adorable sitting animation got me wondering about toddler chairs. Have you guys considered adding a small drawing / activity table with a stool or something like that for toddlers? I could see you being able to recycle/re-purpose some of the animation you already have for it!

r m

Right? I love seeing the different ages interact! 😍

Trisha

Love this update, great work as always! I’d love for toddlers to be able to speak to babies through the baby’s crib and other interactions with babies. Also maybe that they could react positively, negatively or neutral about being introduced to younger siblings!

Anna Wendel

oh that's so cute!! i really love the awkward little climb out of bed, it's so accurate haha an animation for toddlers i would love to see is dancing! toddlers always do it so adorably just bending their knees and cutely bouncing, growing up i used to find that so cute with my siblings and any kid i was babysitting playing with their food when they're not really in the mood to eat could be fun to! i'm really excited to see how the live mode progresses over the coming months and i really can't wait to play it myself!

Melina W

So cute!! To answer your question: I'd love to see many toddler-on-toddler interactions. I want to see them playing together, sharing toys, "talking" to each other, and also some mean interactions like stealing toys or food from each other causing the other to cry or to be angry. They don't quite know what they are doing yet 🥲

Pedro Lima

I love it! Keep up the good work. I am so excited to play this game!

Ashley McEachern

Omg kids helping the toddlers fix their clothes would be so cute 🥺

Cece

Love the post (as always). Thank you Alice and Lina. toddler animations: * the scary face they make when you think they are pooping or anything weird. they kind of scrunch up their face and you think... oh no!! what is happening!! * eating and drinking (obvious animations i guess). both successful and failed (where the food goes everywhere). * tantrums. * failed getting up attempt (from sitting to standing). * roughplay (throwing toys everywhere). * favourite teddy is a big one for me. something that they carry everywhere, attempt to feed, etc. * babbling to other parafolks. I am quite keen for toddlers not to be just smaller children. i want them to have failed animations as they are still learning.

Stewby

This is so exciting! All of the animations are beautiful as always, but something about these little toddlers have so much life! Every subtle movement truly contributes to their little demeanours! Amazing job team, keep up the fantastic work and allow me to just scream for a solid week over how adorable this post was. Until next week, devs!

Cece

I cannot wait these all look so cute! ❤️ A animation I would like to see for toddlers is a toddler dance animation and it would be so cute if toddlers could also dance with older para’s in the future! 🥰

Peachkins

This is not helping my baby fever Alice 😭 so cute!!

Kristen Eldridge

Love the animations in this game, they really bring the art to life.

Swampboot

I absolutely love how natural these animations are! And the proportions are perfect! Animations I'd like to see are playing with toys and other children together. Or things like riding on shoulders or back. Those would be unique interactions for the life stage

BreakingGaia

Love seeing some toddler animations. Thank you for sharing! Some ideas I have for some, if possible. - Toddler dressing themself (maybe a messy clothes/hair afterward) - Adult/kid/teen fixing toddler clothes - Sleepy toddler (yawning, etc) - Toddler lifting their arms looking to be picked up! - Toddler getting spooked or waking up from a nightmare? - Maybe a thumb sucking animation? - On the interactions with other ages. Maybe sitting on teen and older paras laps. - Falling asleep cuddled with siblings maybe? (I know that might be way too difficult). -Sleeping between parents or in the beds with bigger paras, maybe? - Grabbing an older para's leg if clingy - Kissing a baby's face or maybe poking their cheek - Clapping to celebrate stuff

Omg! Wow! 😍 The interior is beautiful! I LOVE the bed and all the decor! ❤️ The animations look amazing! You are all so talented! ❤️ Some animations I would like to see 😊 • A para kissing their toddler godnight when the toddler is sleeping ❤️ • A para sitting in their toddlers bed to sing or read them a book before sleeping. • A para to be able to look for monsters under the bed ( or something similar) if the child has a nightmare. • A para that tries to make their toddler taste new foods. ( Sorry for my bad English ) ❤️

Thinking about the preschoolers I teach, there is the tantrum animation you could do! Haha. But they are always touching things, follow you around, and twist in their seats. Would be cute if they picked up random things they found to show it to their parents lol.

Amazing work guys! Loving it! Will the toddlers be transitioning to beds from crabs? Or will they just be in beds? Can't wait to see what else you have in store.

These are so cute! I especially love the "Standing Idle Variation 3" animation. Wiping their noses like that is VERY toddler XD

Sasha has no business being so cute! 😭❤️

Omg! Adorable!! Especially the pawprint on the bottom of her onesie! So cute!! Is this a toddler with full movement? Confident getting on/off bed for example whereas first few times would maybe have some hesitation or struggle? I'm assuming this is something built up anyway.

This is soooo cute! 🥰

Aww as an early childhood educator, Sasha is probably the most well-behaved toddler I’ve ever seen🥹

Andie

Soo amazing

So cute! I want to see more animations in the future! Will toddlers be able to climb stairs in houses with multiple stories?
