I finished constructing events providing quests for the interior maps set for the village, so this should be a good time to let you know how the work is going.
Currently on: Amount of maps is growing day by day. I'm working on expanding the area around the village right now, wich is vital for completion some of the new village quests. Every house, that has been locked in the previous builds, can be entered in the next one. (Except Inn - it contains a big part of the storyline, with characters and long missions, that requires a separate build update). Naturally you can find a new loot and NPCs inside, which can give you new quests.
I tried to make houses interiors to display the character/backstory of the owners a little bit, so you can learn something about them judging by their residence. It'll be useful in the dialogues if you will consider that. Some of the old NPCs are also can give you quests or useful information now, so you might want to address them again in the next build.
My main goal at the moment is to finish Alwin's arc with the "Dark Lord" title for Hades and arc with recruiting Lola. That means i'm building maps specificaly for them right now (next time, Mr. Whiskers). Also i'm preparing new "Bounty Hunters" arc. Can't tell you much about it right now in order to avoid spoilers. It's a full side-quests sequence, but it has a story and it's not requires a lot of new maps, so i think i'll give it a little time to implement that in the next build as well.
I get a lot of questions about latest build like "where's the build ends?" To avoid confusion in future, i decided to mark inaccessible stuff/maps with a "Work in progress" icon of some sort.
Major fix. Good news for those, who send me bug-reports about RAM memory overloads. I found a new plugin which is providing a solution. It needs to be beta-tested hard, but it shows promising results on my machine for now.
That's about major additions. A lot of minor stuff that is added now and naturally will be added later - will be described in the changelog.
So that's how we're doing - a lot of quests, a lot of maps and lot of passion to do the work!
I notice that we reach the $500 goal again! I'll wait till the end of the month, before making the big decision, of course. I know that the more regular posting can inspire people to keep that amount of pledges, but you know I have my reasons. Anyway, my job going easy on me lately (partly, that's why i'm posting), I can actually sleep properly now. But i think soon everything that I'll be seeing in my expanded dreams is how i'm leaving the job and starting to develop the game properly. )
