This one kind of escaped its initial scope, but in fairness it's meant to be a book cover for reanimatedfish. The character on the right is sort of an OC-by-proxy in that I provided a loose idea and he kind of morphed into what you see there.

I discovered a couple of things about myself in doing this. First of them being, I really miss working at night, where I don't feel compelled to talk to anyone at all. Second, I don't watch nearly enough trashy, shitty movies. They're fucking terrible but they introduce me to music that suits my "zone out to the same track for 24 hours" flow state that I seem to do best in, this case being Seize the Power by YONAKA. Maybe it's not high art, but I'm not really making high art either. And it worked. That's the important part.

There are still things that bug the shit out of me about this, but it's going to be painted (not by me) so I'm sure a lot of the bothersome things will come out in the wash.

Hopefully one of those things is my inability to draw reptiles.
