At the Foot of Yonder Mountain

This is my rendition of some old Appalachian folk song.

Purty, ain't it?

Bizarre. I've switched over to Chromebook and the playback from Patreon isn't clipping on this machine either. The recording on this was all digital from start to finish, so if the master is clean the only source of distortion would have to be at the playback amplification stage. .. left speaker buzzing, eh? It could be the upright bass, which I recall having to tweak a lot to make it stop clipping on my meters during recording. I had boosted the low frequencies because it seemed almost inaudible otherwise. The bass has a soundboard pickup, which I think is panned to left, and a ribbon mic placed in front of it was panned to right, in an attempt to get a fuller sound. Those lows may be rattling something in the speaker cabinet.

There's something in it that makes my left speaker buzz unless I lift it off the shelf. Other music doesn't have that effect. Very odd...

Check your playback levels, because it's not clipping on my computer .. I'm more than sure that the source file is a clean recording.

Clipping like crazy. Might wanna remix it down a little. :D
