Speaking from both personal and interpersonal experience, emotional manipulation and degradation can happen quite easily when you're naive in the subjects of romantic and physical relationships. A friend of mine kept going back to this sack of shit who they lost their virginity to simply because they felt like they owed the fucker or that this person was who they were meant for. Until recently, this was person was my friend's nasty, habitual rebound every time a relationship of their's ended. I've dealt with similar feelings after my own experiences, not helped that the person I was with was using me as a means to get off because I was there and vulnerable. It's shitty, but I can imagine that if someone grew attached enough to the person who lead them to man/womanhood, especially performing the act multiple times, that they could be lead into a form of Stockholm Syndrome where they feel that cannot escape. One of the leading causes of stress and anxiety, especially to the point of suicide, is believing that one has lost all control of their life.

Fair enough, Teg, but it still makes me angry. Call it mindless suspense of disbelief for the sake of assaulting humanity... buffalomanity? You get what I mean... Hmm... Buffalo-manatee. Rick, I get that, but unless there's some magical shenanigans involved, which hasn't been established yet, that's no excuse on Springfield's side as far as I'm concerned.

if you read the dialogue. She says she had no will. Its as if she is being mind controlled. That would be pretty horrible, having no control over your body and just be possessed by anothers will. He`s full on asshole at that point.

Keep in mind we are not actually "seeing" this happen. Springfield is telling it how she remembers it.

... I know shit like this happens on a daily basis in our real world... But it still feels so unrelatable. How the hell can either of them feel even remotely like THIS is what they should be doing?! Nobody in this scenario is acting with any sense of basic logic or even intelligence. Springfield shouldn't ever have let Thunderhoof abuse her like that, and Thunderhoof... are you DENSE? "Do you love me?" - "Not really. [...] I have to marry one of my own kind." ... Bro, seriously... Feelings aside, at least TRY to lie. HOW CAN YOU EXPECT ANYBODY TO MARRY YOU WITH AN ATTITUDE LIKE THAT?! Just the way he takes her for granted disgusts me.
