Co-ordinating Rhythm & Arp

Now, after an hour and a half of twiddling, it begins to resemble something like music.

Of course there are ways to do this! With my current set of modules those ways are limited .. but I was already pondering ways to bring in extra voices. There's one more video from this week's session which I will post tomorrow, in which I do a very rudimentary 2nd voice. Will get fancier in the next session. In February I plan to get a larger case that will hold all of these modules with a little bit of space left over, and later I hope to add an analog sequencer in that empty space.

Once I get the tempos synchronized they will remain synchronized until I turn the rig off or disconnect the clock. With arpeggiator "hold" turned on, it will continue playing the notes of the chord I gave it, without me needing to keep any keys pressed down. This leaves my hands free to turn knobs and plug in wires while the arp plays automatically.

Glad to see there’s a way to sync Lifeforms and Grids. I was wondering about that. Is there a way to sync between tracks – if you wanted two different voices from Lifeforms for example? You mentioned you don’t use a computer, so I’m guessing you don’t use a sequencer. Regarding PDFs, you should get a cheap tablet. They work great for PDFs and have some advantages even over print.

yes the ending was really nice, it had chords, arpeggio an the tempo seemed to be coming together.... but unless i understood it wrong... all that was due to you pressing and keeping pressed one button, if you pressed nothing... then everything would be thrown out of whack, either because stuff you would play inly while buttons are pressed or because things would be "heard" only if any button is pressed. 🤔 But that's probably the late hour that's speaking and i'm wrong. g'night. 👋💤

at the 5 minute mark i'm getting a close encounter of the 3rd kind ending vibe... but then i'm listening at this late in the night. i should get some sleep and re-watch. 2018-01-24 - 23.51.00

What PDF need and usually never gets done is a "summary card". Whomever makes those manuals is usually pretty bad in that they don't allow important information to be all in one page, so you can print that one page and that's it. I'm almost tempted to get that manual you have and make you a one-pager of the stuff you wish it had gotten into it.
