Persimmon buds
Added 2020-05-17 02:07:44 +0000 UTCSoon they will open into small, waxy greenish-yellow flowers. I will try to get a photo of the blossoms if weather permits and I don't miss them. I took this shot out in "The Swamp" today; it was a beautiful afternoon right up until it started raining.

It is truly one of Fuma's miracles, that nature can produce a fruit that tastes like creme broulle. The persimmon also teaches patience, for the fruit takes many months to mature, and if eaten before it is ripe it punishes the hasty with a mouthful of the awfulest flavor you ever encountered.
