2020-12-22 20:53:24 +0000 UTCAt least the other people openly despised Zandar and showed her the respect of wearing their hate on their sleeve and treating her as somebody to notice. He did far worse... saw her only as a means to an objective, he feigned sweetness and good manners only for as long as strictly needed, but from the start he could not stand looking at her unless she looked how he *wanted* her to look, the moment he got his crown and a daughter out of her... he... basically was not interested in her anymore. Treated her as "something that exists" and did not concern him. Despite Zandar being starved for any semblance of love and proper respect. In general... he behaved worse that the people who despised Zandar, because he gave her hope for something of a normal life before showing he could not care less. Worse yet... he keeps showing up to... well... it is not exactly clear what he wants to achieve besides reminding her of what he could have given her if he had cared and goad in the face that she lost "it" even though she has no clue what "it" could have been or why it would have mattered, like an exploitative and rapist ex who is also her jailor and enforcer of invisible walls. Zandar is already stumbling through life with people actively denying her explanations they could very well give. The few times she actually got some explanation she was totally okay with that. But Adler... is the worst. The way i understood he is also clueless at what he has done to Zandar. Since he is basically like that. But yeah.
