Remember when I said something about not looking like a mop? Well, never mind that. My initial idea for a hairstyle (parted in the middle) was an embarrassing dud, but when in despair I clawed it all over to one side it started to work. She's got a frizzy 1980s thing going on, and it tells us a little bit about what kind of mousegirl she is.
Anyway ... after much blood, sweat, and tears (actually none of that - more like insomnia, hand cramps, and mild cussing) she's done! I am amazed that it went this quickly. I probably worked on her more furiously than I should have. Now I feel like I could sleep for a couple of days straight.
In the top photo montage, she is holding a meter stick for scale because most of the world knows what size that is. For my fellow Americans, that stick is 39&1/4 inches; about a hand-width longer than a yard.
In the bottom photo I got a nice shot of her good side.
I will probably make another one, but not right away. I need a break from sitting on the floor all tangled in yarn, and there's other things I really should be doing.
