2023-05-22 14:39:13 +0000 UTCThe evil eye is a gesture that has existed for a long time and in at least European and Middle Eastern cultures that I have stumbled my way into it is said to carry varying degrees of misfortune. To give someone the evil eye, or stinkeye, is to wish them harm, and there were charms made to ward the related sort of ill-will off.
