"Hibbs" was the building that the school cafeteria was in.  If you lived in the campus dorms (which I did for all 4 years) you were also subscribed to the meal plan which provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Saturday.  On Sunday they only served lunch and dinner.  The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either.

Heathens and drunken louts, the lot of 'em!

You must consider that the staff might be hung over or at church on Sunday. Besides, it was the BADDY-two-shoes who most needed to go to church. For Sunday breakfast I had a box of cereal, sometimes apples, sometimes bagels in my room.

'twas ever thus, regarding college meal plans. At my university, Marriott had the concession, and it was nearly universally known as "The Rot." There was a minor hoo-ha in my time there when a report leaked that allegedly showed the university food was two notches below standard hotel cuisine, and one notch above prison food. As I recall, my university didn't have meal service on Sunday -- given the 18 year old drinking age in force at the time, there were very few up and about of a Sunday morning. I had a job checking IDs at a building early on a Sunday morning, and it was rare to see ANYONE there.

so then out of curiosity why no sunday breakfast? Did they assume the student body would be hung over on sunday mornings or at church (for the goody two shoes? ) and what did you do for sunday breakfast?
