The Idea is to make cars for a relevant driving experience for practicing and joy.
To achieve this, I’m researching how a car’s body works and how it reacts to suspension movements. In most games and sims, a car’s body is treated as a rigid block with suspension attached, which I believe breaks the feel of street-car driving turning every car into gt3 version. I’m addressing that by building the body dynamics from the ground up.
So instead of tuning suspensions numbers (which is also super important), I building also a car in the way I believe it should work.
This is BodyV5 - the fifth iteration of a body physics script. Now I use Carium as a script file name.
Now I'm enrolling this tech to cars for you to try. Starting with Boxster, 911 and DeLorean Frame, then I'm going to release new cars as soon as they in "ready to go" state. Some scripts are open for you, some are remained hidden for now as they are considered not finished.
Physics script interact only with the car, and does nothing unrelated to physics.
