Please switch to Sport only after you warm up your tyres a bit ; )
Tip 1: If you driving on Nürburgring from start with then please switch to Sport around the Carousel corner.
Tip 2: Please test it in TrackDay mode with couple of other cars.
Tip 3: Please try it with two-way traffic mode!
Or drive on a long track in Track Day mode — but in the opposite direction. )

How to figure out scripts are working?
If the digital speedometer on the dash works then you are good to go.
You can hear wind effects when overpassing other cars.
