Plans for more mothly content
Added 2020-06-14 06:43:00 +0000 UTCI have some articles I plan to write for Patreon and other media sources this year:

a. The Mandate* -- <https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1964463742/the-mandate>
b. After Reset* -- <https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/blackcloudstudios/after-reset-rpg-rebooted/>

m. Ant Simulator* -- <https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/eteeski/ultimate-gamedev-tutorials-make-your-first-video-g/description>
* -- People I'd really like to contact and talk to, interview, and are high priority articles. I've been researching these for a while now, and it's about time.
#2 -- Modder to Game Dev -- Interviews with Modders who became professional game devs
a. Alexander J. Velicky -- Falskaar
b. Nicolas Samuel and Johannes Scheer -- Enderal and Nehrim (and Cube Experimental)
c. Nick James Pearce -- The Forgotten City
d. Dean Hall -- DayZ
e. Tomas Sala -- Moonpath to Elsweyr
f. Nick Thomadis -- Darthmod
Most of these people I know and have talked to so it's going to be easy to get them interviewed. Any more I should add to the list?
I planned to do these as part of my marketing research for Morningstar and keep it to myself, basically just outlining "what are some red flags to avoid and how to mitigate first timer syndrome?"
But I think it's a valuable asset for the game dev community at large and people who backed the projects.
Jilted backers can get some small ounce of recompense.
It's something quick I can do that adds meaningful content to the page, and does some good.
What do you guys think?
Comments
It turns out, getting owners of failed Kickstarters to respond to you about their past mistakes really doesn't elicit much response. So pursuing those affected by it has been better, and I've been talking to a few former devs who have stories to tell. I'll be able to compile some of those into stories and post those probably by the end of the year. Might be a single big article rather than monthly, given the circumstances.
