Adding 4 brand new Asteroid Base New Game Starts and 8 Starting Space Ships, SOS2.4 will let you live our your colony's dream of adventuring in the stars from whence you came.
The past performance bottlenecks that left large ship battles a slideshow are gone, the major improvements to threading, light layers, and pathing have abated most end game throttles, and new explosion & detach calculations let you watch enemy ships get ripped apart at a decent framerate.
You may now also end the game in space utilizing a brand new Archotech quest-line, full of unique animals, strange plants, advanced synthetic body parts, powerful technology, and revenge against your enemies.
Replete with brand new ships and new heat management mechanics, combat is more fun than ever before, offering diverse challenges from defending Trade Ship Fleets, marauding Ultra Dreadnoughts, or menacing Mechanoid Extermination Spheres.
