Leaving a ''vito'' for the ''richest'' doesn't seem quite fair. The second option on the other hand is very interesting! :)

2015-06-03 23:33:59 +0000 UTCCould be interesting to see you offer a pledge level that allows someone to suggest a character for a folio while giving you control over the composition. Maybe they could have some limited input on some of the alternate versions. In the end, it'll still go out to all $10+ patrons at the end of the month(or whenever it's completed) so that your other patrons are still getting content. It would probably need to be a fairly high tier with limited availability so that you don't work yourself to death, or you could do as Forrest suggests and turn it into a lower tier raffle. Another option could be to allow a vote for the next portfolio character, and restrict the voting process to higher tiers. That way, $10 patrons can still get the folios and people willing to go higher actually get a say in what comes next. This would also allow you to work on characters you want to work on because you'll be setting up the options for the vote while maybe considering suggestions from your patrons. The voting process could also extend into votes for some of the alternate versions.

2015-06-03 02:10:47 +0000 UTCWell one I have seen is to have a monthly raffle for commissions, so everyone who pledges say $10+ a month get a chance to win a black and white sketch commission, $25+ and its a color sketch, $50+ and its full color, that way you only need to draw 3 extra things a month but everyone above $10 has a chance to get something. Prints are also make good rewards, with your model you could offer lower pledges a small single print, mid level pledges bigger single prints and higher pledges full portfolios made up of small prints or a few selected large prints.
