Added 2020-09-19 15:09:05 +0000 UTCThe first image drawn with the idea to show a process of creation, I imagine those very first strokes are crucial for the viewer to understand how it is done, but that is not something I would normally save as a separate file on a disk. The general idea of this image is similar to a Phoenix one, where it's all based on strong contrast and hard edges for that "manly" feel. While he doesn't have any magical powers like most agents, he is clearly the smokes guy and with that pun we got here.
Visual Inspiration
Adam Jensen wallpaper from Deus Ex was one of my favorties for a long time, I remember seeing this image a lot around the web. He is a main visual inspiriation in terms of light and values for this piece. Joker shot perfectly represents the tired mood and uneasiness I wanted to capture in this artwork. At last xxxHolic manga has some incredibly unique smoke trails, that stuck in my head years after I seen them and gave me the idea of what I I should go for.
