Such a long post and such a short opinion I have to provide for this one: Throw your doubts away. My feelings are that the Management can easily deal with you wearing two different business hats. Your work seems to be very appreciated as well as helping being more popular and distribute the groups merch to westerners like me. Could I promise that it will stay the way it is now? No … I wish I could. But one thing I can say for sure: If you avoid getting closer you instantly throw away the chance because of the risk. And that would be a pity. You are an experienced staff guy, you have good contacts to the Management. And the group deals much better with international working and the way you do things. So it´s definitely worth it. It´s a short opinion… but a useful one. Follow my advice – I have a very good feeling about this.
