The New Valem Tutorials YouTube Channel !

I'm back everyone !

It's been a while and before explaining what I've been up to, let me start with some good news.

As you can see from my latest patreon post, I've released a new tutorial on How To Setup Passthrough in Unity : https://youtu.be/9u3QQi6Gnx0

In this video, i'll guide you step by step to help you create your first Mixed Reality application with the Oculus Quest using the new Passthrough feature.

Now some of you might notice something different with this link...This video is uploaded on another Youtube Channel : Valem Tutorials

That's right! I've decided to create a second Youtube channel that will focus on learning AR/VR/XR development!

Before explaining this choice, I will first need your help. As this channel is brand new, I will need you to subscribe and click on the little bell to help this tiny channel stand out among the sea of content on Youtube. The goal is to reach 5000 subs before the end of the year !!!

Now why a second Youtube channel ?

As time passed, I've been enjoying more and more showcasing my personnal projects on my Youtube channel. While these projects takes more time to make, they appeal to a broader audience that is not familiar with VR development or Unity.

This made a separation on my channel where previous subscribers were not pleased with fewer tutorials and new people were surprised to find a technical video from my channel on their feed.

With this situation it didnt felt like I was pleasing anyone with my video, and this reflected on my personal freedom to upload what I wanted.

This is what lead me to this decision to better organize my content which I can sum up in three levels.

Level 1 - Valem : a Youtube channel for all immersive technology lover. A channel to share my biggest project and inspire people with creative content.

Level 2 - Valem Tutorials : let's get technical ! This channel will focus on teaching you what you need to know to make a VR application.

Level 3 - Valem Patreon : A channel for VR developer who want to learn advanced subject and support my work.

With these three levels, I hope to clarify and better organize my content to deliver the best I can to all of you supporting my work.

As you understand, while I'll keep uploading on my main channel Valem, all of my future tutorials will be exclusively uploaded on the Valem Tutorial channel.

In parallele, I'll continue to post the source code of my project and exclusive content on my Patreon.

So this decision was not easy to take. I must admit it feels like I start all over again but I know it's the right think to do and I'm glad to have this community to support this transition.
