Patreon changes
Added 2024-08-13 03:03:21 +0000 UTCOnce again, Patreon is caving to outside pressures. This time, Apple will be forcing Patreon to adopt their in-app payment system for anyone using the IOS Patreon app, which has the added effect of not allowing the per-page charging that Sabrina Online currently uses. I don't plan on making any changes here until at least the end of the year, as there is a grace period before certain payment models are cut off completely, then I will be having discussions about what changes will work best for me and all (or most) of you.
Until then, I would recommend that you NOT use the Apple iOS Patreon app when pledging to a creator or renewing, and instead do so though your standard web browser, as:
The app will not allow you to pledge to those using per-creation payments like this one after November.
App payment tacks on an additional fee which goes directly to Apple, not Patreon or the artists/creators.
