Unforeseen consequences CYOA update CW40

Hey cat pack,

it's again been way longer than I would have liked.
Time flies and winter/christmas is approaching which also brings tons of other social obligations for me.

My current goal is to bring one more big update for Unforeseen consequences this year and then there is something else I have in mind which will be patreon only initially.

I really hope I can get time in for that I have planned, will do my best.

In the meantime:
I progressed some storypaths , this time for the extreme choice.
Again I had to spend an unexpected amount of hours structuring and fixing some things.
Here is a short list of work done:

New content:
From now on I will have a better overview of pages written, since the walkthrough includes it (not 100% accurate) and I can count passages marked for each path.
Overall I would say I added about 50 pages last week.

Walkthrough fixes and better tracking:
I introduced a bug with the walkthrough which I only realized now... it was either rewind it all or fix it, which sadly took me hours again. The problem was, that settings, perks and variables in general behaved unexpected after returning to the start page. I tried to play around with the "Storyinit" passage in twine to fix it but ultimately found a different solution.
While adjusting the walkthrough setup I made it (I think) more intuitive and easier to read/follow, but people can tell me what they think once it is out.

Settings / names:
Within that fix I remembered there was a bug report about names behaving inconsistently upon changing. After tracking this down I realized the source to be very similar. For that reason I took the opportunity to not only fix the behaviour but to implement choosable names for everyone. This was a step I wanted to take anyway (as mentioned in the authors notes of the last release) but it was as tedious as expected. Since every new page would just have added to the problem though (since any mention of a character adds 1 more text piece to change), it's better now than never. Glad that's done.

With the next release we will finally have some finished paths.
The implementation of the walkthrough pretty much demands that I stay focused on each track after another, otherwise I  won't have an overview what's where anymore.
So I will finish up as many paths as possible and then release the result.

Hope everyone stays safe.
Next update will probably be together with a release and the annoucement of what I have planned over winter.

Just wondering if there's any update on progress?
