Still working on the last bits of the new release as tirelessly as possible. Unfortunatly even reinstalling windows, changing some parts etc didn't fully fix my PC problems, I still get random crashes and therefore contacted the retailer + got even more spare parts (pending shipment, because of ship shortages and christmas).
Anyway, release will happen next week, since this weekend christmas will keep me busy.
In the meantime I am happy that Doctors Without Borders won the poll, since they are also my personal favorit.
For that reason I decided to double the donation, you can find all the screenshots attached, hopefuly I didn't dox myself.
In "Donation pic 4" you can see that 91.19€ have been pledged to me so far, while I never did a payout yet.
This translates to 103,29 USD which I rounded to 200 USD for the donation.
We will keep this account non-profit for the time being, I feel it is a nice compromise between you being able to pledge, which in turns gives me motivation to progress, and me not feeling bad when I have to abandon this topic for longer periods of time because of other topics in my life (like moving apartments in 2 months).
When/if the time comes where I feel more comfortable with the output I will announce it beforehand and donate everything pledged to me until that day to a chosen NGO.
So I won't just collect money for 6 months now and then randomly declare I won't donate it ;P.
There will be enough headsup for people to cancel their subscription if they feel like the donation thing is one of the main reasons they are willing to be part of our community.
I will think about how to handle the donation (quartly, half yearly, yearly, + if we will have a poll every time on who receives it).
In the meantime I am also thinking about going into short stories.
It could be a good way to produce content quickly without having to fear that I compromise the story of the game. More thoughts on that also soon.
