This is Daesung’s time to shine brighter and happier than ever. Echoing another comment that said him on stage is his happiest self. Did you know BIGBANG sang Last Dance during the encore of GD’s concert? It was an emotional moment for the memebers and the fans. I’m sure you would enjoy it too. Speaking of Daesung, he was so happy that he forgot it’s a sad song 😂

When I saw him singing on MAMA2024 with GD and Taeyang, I legit teared up because the way he sang it was like he's just so happy to be there haha. He really is born to sing - FYI Daesung is his real name, and it means "great voice" in Korean! I'm glad that he fought hard to become an idol/singer when he was younger, his father used to be very against him becoming an idol and in the BIGBANG Beginning documentary they showed that he had to study and practice dancing/singing at the same time when the others were wholly focused on becoming idol trainees. About Universe: Based on the lyrics and visuals, I think this song is about him feeling lost after the group went on hiatus after Still Life (remember the flashes of the sets from Still Life in the beginning of the MV?), and him finding the "light" or the reason to continue making music. I think the young boy in the MV is a representation of his younger self, and he's holding his hand to let him know that the journey to self-discovery is scary, but his future self will be there for him. I'm not sure if you will ever be checking out Daesung's mini album, but he also performed another song in it called "Us Before" on Mnet. He also appeared in Park Bo Gum's Cantabile and performed a few new and old songs there, if you're interested! Thanks for the reaction as always! Looking forward to the MADE documentary movie (:
