Guardian: The Lonely and Great God aka 'Goblin' Episode 8 REACTION

I might be down with the sickness (again), but I'm also down with the early uploads!

Guardian: The Lonely and Great God aka 'Goblin' Episode 8 REACTION

- There are some shots where Eun-tak reminds me a bit of Haseul from Loona/ARTMS. - Yeah, that's not gonna work. Once the video is on the internet, it stays there forever. Nothing you can do about it. - The stuff around reincarnation, identities from previous lives and everything is getting really interesting. - Goblin suicide prevention, I like it. - „I ended up grabbing your sword. Your fate is up to me.“ Well DAMN. There's really nothing he can counter that with 😅 - Jesus, how can one cyclist cause such a huge pileup? Damn. - This reminds me a bit of Xenoblade Chronicles. The protagonist Shulk also has the ability to see into the future and often uses that to save people who were originally destined to die. - Oh, that's a LOT of missing souls here. - Interesting. So I guess Goblin really does want to wait until the end of Eun-tak's life before he has her pull out the sword. But imo it would still be a good idea to tell her the truth now instead of keeping it from her for 80 years. Who says that she has to pull the sword immediately after learning what that does? Like you said in another episode, this could go very wrong if she feels like she's been lied to for decades. - My dude's yelling at a butterfly - Wang Yeo. So that is the Reaper's name. Kinda funny because „wang“ also translates to „king“. - Halfway point of the show. And holy shit, things are ramping up. So the Lady in Red is saying that Goblin has to die, otherwise Eun-tak will not live for much longer? Am I getting that right? That staying with the Goblin for too long will lead to Eun-tak's demise? - At least she finally knows the truth about the sword now. - Oh, I see. Fate is trying to „correct“ her existence. She was never meant to be alive after all. Very Final Destination. And the only way to actually save herself is to fulfill her newly created purpose of killing the Goblin. Because then she would have done something properly meaningful. Allowing her to have an actual place in this world, without the universe trying to erase her.

- Dang it, I was going to suggest Hunter x Hunter until you said "as long as it's not 200+ episodes" (technically it's 147 episodes but still HAHAHA) - A bit of a random thought but it feels so cruel for the Almighty to make it so that the sword can only be pulled out when Goblin feels true love - it's like the love he feels for the first time makes him want to continue living, but the pain triggered from the sword due to the love he feels is going to end up killing him. - Yeah basically the king is insinuating that Goblin wants to usurp the throne since he's showing concern for the nation and citizen instead of just heeding the king's orders without any questions asked (I guess that's his idea of loyalty?). But idk, I feel like Goblin wouldn't have done that if the king had realized that the real problem lies with that evil councilor whispering weird ideas into his head... - I think they intentionally made the sister's identity ambiguous so that we would keep second-guessing Eun-tak (whether she's really the bride or not), which was why they chose to reveal Eun-tak being able to pull the sword + Goblin revealing his sister's identity in this episode (or at the end of the last ep). I thought she's Goblin's lover on my first watch lol xD
