Big Bang 'Made' the Movie - FULL REACTION

Big Bang 'Made' the Movie - FULL REACTION

Comments

Hi, Can you also consider reacting to the BIGBANG THE BEGINNING Documentary, please. It is the survival show about how bigbang is made.

khinhtethtet khaing

Big Bangs relationship with VIPs are very different from others. We have a bit more family like relationship. We have a more savage relationship, but we also try to respect their space as we all understand the effort that they have put into their music and their comebacks. That's why its not surprising that fans complied with Taeyang's request. I think more often than not VIPs will respect their requests. As you can see how professional and meticulous they are about their concerts, their music, and fan service. That is what we love and respect about BB. As you watched this documentary and GD's Act III Motte Documentary. You can see how hard working and professional he is that he often ends up overexhausted.. so with this comeback, VIPS really put more emphasis on his well being. You will often hear VIPS say "don't over exhaust yourself!" "take care of yourself" etc. It is because we know the man and artist that he is, and how much he gives to us. That we truly genuinely love and care for him as a person beyond the artist. We are happy to have witnessed this happier, healthier, and freer side of him. We look forward to their comeback next year as we celebrate their "coming of age" ceremony. 🤣

I 100% agree with you! Thank you for also addressing the Seungri Misinformation! It kills me everytime people judge him due to this misinformation. Many of the victims and witnesses all stated that Seungri was not involved and that police made statements that they will conviction Seungri regardless of his innocence.. :(

These men have been through so much and for some its not over yet. Its gonna be hard to see a bigbang comeback. I will love them but a whole concert of just bigbang songs with only 3 members would be difficult. GD made perfect songs for 5 people and it will be extremely taxing for 3. We can only hope TOP comes back soon and SR really needs to address the misinformation. I know that ot5 vips may sound delusional now but there were so many lies and negative propaganda around that time. Even when police say that they found he wasnt involved, twitter posts filled with fanfiction garnered more attention. Public outrage became more important than the truth. Right now im not even demanding belief. Just consider that sometimes what is widely known may not be what actually happened. Thank you for the reaction. I swear i cry watching this now for a while different reason than before. So many broken dreams and promises. Its heartbreaking. VIPs are just relieved that they are all alive somewhere and hopefully living their best lives they can for now. Or finding themselves again

T.O.P news. https://m.entertain.naver.com/article/009/0005483977. T.O.P, who once boldly declared “2025” — Will this be the year his music truly returns? According to sources in the music industry, T.O.P is currently immersed in songwriting, aiming to release a substantial body of work. This time, it’s not just a single or an EP, but potentially a mini-album or even a full-length album packed with multiple tracks. While it’s speculated that his future musical activities may be focused overseas, that hasn’t lessened the excitement surrounding his comeback. After a long period of reflection, T.O.P officially returned to the spotlight at the end of 2024 through Netflix’s original series Squid Game 2, marking the beginning of a new chapter. Though earlier this year there were rumors of a BIGBANG reunion, T.O.P personally denied them — making it clear that he’s walking his own path now. But maybe that’s what makes his music even more meaningful. Whether it’s an official release or just a mixtape, every sound, every lyric from T.O.P feels precious. No matter where or how it comes, as long as we get to hear his voice again — that alone is our greatest joy.

The Seungri scandal is already old news but I decided anyways to write this novel about some lesser known facts about it. There’s so much misinformation going on around that I thought it would be a good idea to write this. I’ve gathered my info from various translated official notices and news articles by journals that actually fact check, translated by other VIPs over the years (the scientist in me is mad I don’t have any of the articles saved for reference but I can’t help it now). Seungri was an essential part of Bigbang. It’s very different without him (I don’t think they will even make an actual comeback as Bigbang without Seungri). It's a long and complicated story of what happened and why he left but to summarize, it was a super messy and a very public witch hunt. And anti-Seungri people, please read all the way through before hating on me in the comments. I'll just give a very general story of how it went here for you: It started in early 2019 with the Burning Sun club issues (sexual harrasment in the club, money laundring etc.) and grew up to be the worst scandal ever. All the headlines were: Seungri’s club Burning Sun has done this and that, Seungri involved in this and that. Right after the the Burning Sun scandal the Jung Joon Young’s chat issue rose up and the headlines were again Seungri’s chat… He got blamed for doing ugly things that weren’t true, and yes it has been proven by the Korean police he WAS NOT a part of JJY’s chat case of secretly photographing girls and rape, at all. The police concluded that JJY had Seungri’s number on his phone and they had been texting about a common restaurant business only. JJY and all the other chat related people were sent to prison. Some reporters made very ugly things up to get bigger and bigger headlines and were later sentenced to prison for that. It got very dark and ugly. It felt like an actual witch hunt to get Seungri’s head with more and more, worse and worse headlines every day for months all just about how horribly terrible person he is. There were public appeals made for him to commit suicide... that is not ok. He was the most loved maknae one day and the next everybody hated his guts. The police started a full on investigation about everything about his life, work and businesses (he owned or co-owned clubs, restaurants etc) to find any sign or proof of his wrongdoings. The investigation was later transferred to the army prosecution as he was doing his military service. They even forced him and all of Bigbang members to have drug tests, all were negative (South Korea has very strict drug laws). They tried to dig up evidence against him for gambling (illegal for Korean citizens), arranging escort ladies for business partners in Japan etc for 3 years and got NOTHING, only evidence for gambling in the US but no other evidence whatsoever was ever found. Early in 2022 he got 1,5 years in prison because he admitted to the charges of gambling and arranging escorts in Japan (even though during the trial the escort ladies testified for Seungri's innosence). He was released in spring 2023. According to what I’ve learned, in South Korea the conviction rate in court cases is really high. It’s practically impossible to get an innocent verdict in a court hearing. Apparently the court system only cares about the number of convictions and not if the person actually did anything. In SK it’s more appropriate to admit guilt whether you are guilty or not, do your time and reflect on your wrongdoings and you might have a chance still in the future. So even though Seungri was adamant for 3 years of not admitting guilt he was probably very tired and exhausted so it was a better option for him considering the future and his reputation had already been ruined for good anyway. The media has never cleared his name regarding the early scandal headlines about him so most kpop fans and Koreans still think it's all him as they used his name during the scandal: Seungri's club Burning Sun (in reality he owned about 5% of the club’s shares, never did any management of the club, and only DJ'd there sometimes), Seungri's chat (was proven by the police investigators he was not part of the chat) etc. Because it's Seungri, he was part of the most loved group by the general public and a very popular member, everybody even all the grandma’s knew who he is, and an international megastar. The shock value was enormous. They got a lot of readers that way so the scandals, especially the chat scandal, were tied to him closely even though it never was him. The kmedia never even trying to clear his name is one of the reasons why he is still so hated in the kpop world, all people read is a few Koreaboo articles about him and the scandal and take it as truth, Koreaboo was one of the worst ones to throw gasoline into the fire during the scandal. All the while other serious issues happening at the same time are totally forgotten, overshadowed by Seungri’s scandal. The SOPA scandal before and the money laundering cases that were revealed after the Burning Sun issues, both included some very important people high up in SK. Some people are starting to belittle Seungri's effect on Kpop while he was in Bigbang because of this. The truth is his and Bigbang’s impact on kpop was huge, they changed the whole industry to what it is now, no matter what happened after. He might not be the perfect or even a great guy but he isn’t the big bad monster the media made him out to be either, and no one can’t deny his insane musicality, talent and impact on Kpop. When you are guilty you have to pay for your crimes but this very public witch hunt was way over the proportion of his crimes, which are at the level of gambling... Sorry for the long rant. I'm just mad and heartbroken about this still, he was our most beloved outgoing, funny and loud maknae for 13 years so it hit hard. VIP Until Whenever.

BIGBANG is a wonderful group and their journey is inspiring 💛 I’m excited to see a new BIGBANG tour in 2026 to relive all these moments with these songs. If you have time you should check them singing Last Dance at GD’s concert it was a very emotional moment and them basically saying “we are back”

Happy Renni

Can you reaction another episode of Running Man that Bigbang also joined pls? It's episode 163. I really look forward to your reaction!

Trang Thùy

Enjoyed watching this with you. Thank you for posting it. Looking forward to GD's documentary.

I have watched this every now and then since 2016, but the feeling each time I watch it is different. 2016 was sad because of the enlistment and uncertainty, 2017 was filled with fear, 2019 with uncertainty and probably the nail in the coffin, 2020-2022 with hope, 2023-2024 with acceptance but watching it in 2025 hurts even more now that TOP has shared why he left...

Tin 빅뱅사랑해

They still work with the same stylist, makeup artist till this day. Though GD is no longer in YG he still records his music in YG studios

To clarify, TOP has confirmed he's not coming back to BIGBANG (at least not in the foreseeable future), but he has plans to release solo music. I believe he said this in one of his newest interviews this year, but he also mentioned that he's still trying to find a team for his music production so we might not hear from him until a while later. It's been 7-8 years since I first watched this, and watching this with you again in 2025 really gives me bittersweet emotions. BIGBANG is known for being one of the groups with their hiatus period longer than their actual active period in the industry, so when the guys started to enlist one by one most of us thought of it just like any ordinary day... Until TOP's scandal hit, and we almost lost him. I remember feeling so scared when I saw the news of his hospitalization and was praying so hard in my heart that he makes it through somehow for days (and thankfully he did). And then Burning Sun happened. I really don't like to talk about this because it just rubs me the wrong way how some fans continue to support Seungri. I know that he's charged for mainly financial crimes, but you can't convince me that he has zero fucking idea what the hell was going on in the club especially when he's always said that he's "hands-on" when it comes to his businesses. And there were warning signs the members gave: TOP talked about how his friends seemed shady and GD even wrote a song that dissed his friends. I can't imagine how frustrated they must have felt that they'd rather put him on blast on national tv. I refuse to believe that this man is so naive that he'd never check on the club just because he's not a major shareholder, especially when he's being used as the face of the establishment... like come fucking on, he's a seasoned businessman by this point and the club had multiple unsavory rumors way before the scandal broke out, he had many chances to back out of the business. Even if he's not directly involved, he's guilty by association and you can't change my mind. After 2019, it felt like the group was never going to come back and I kind of fell off kpop around then. But years later, a friend suddenly sent me a link to BIGBANG's Still Life premiere (I wasn't aware that they were going to have a comeback). I remember watching the premiere and started to cry when I saw TOP, like I just couldn't believe how they got together after so much has happened. And then fast forward a few more years, we all saw history in the making when GD, Taeyang and Daesung came together for MAMA2024, and then TOP in SG2! This year (and 2024) has been an absolute treat for us VIPs, it feels like we're being rewarded for the long wait with all of their comebacks, variety shows and whatnot. At this point I think it's generally accepted that we are OT3(+1) haha. I don't blame TOP for leaving - of course I would love to see him back with the group, but I think I'm at this point where I'm just glad that he's still with us, and the other members are all doing well for themselves and slowly healing from all the shit they went through (at this point I think Taeyang's the only one who didn't get into any major controversy lol). Welp, I'm sorry that this kind of turned into a rant... Thanks for your BIGBANG reaction as always, and I'm definitely excited to see you check out GD's documentary (I think you will enjoy that one since you talked about wishing to delve into the darker side of kpop industry) as well as the group's variety appearances in the future (:

T.O.P is indeed going to have a comeback! With his solo music, not as part of BIGBANG, as he's still ashamed of all that's happened. Despite the members sending him subtle messages through their music saying they basically just want him to come home. They never pressure him by reaching out directly though, as far as we know, respecting his choices and privacy. I also do want to touch on Seungri and your avoiding to acknowledge him, for obvious reasons. However, there is actually a lot of stuff that's come out afterwards that points to him not being involved at all in the scandals that went down. He only owned about 8% of the club and was basically just the "face outwards" of it, so people calling The Burning Sun "Seungri's club" was basically only used to get attention. The "Lee Seung-hyun" they said was him in the group chat leaks was NOT him. There is another artist who has the exact same name, (the only difference basically being the pronunciation) and they used that to their advantage to pin Seungri's name to the situation. If I remember correctly, the BBC documentary was co-produced with a disgusting dude who had been banned from the club because he was being inappropriate to women, more than once, despite being warned, fighting guards and cops along the way. So he basically did all he could to get revenge. The artist with the same name as him was caught with loads of molka and other horrible pictures and videos illegally filmed on his phone, as well as stuff from the other members in the group that was shown. Seungri basically only had one group chat from that club, and that was a business group and he was rarely at the club itself unless for business and further developments of it. He didn't know what was going on, most people claim. He was in about 50 or so hearings and did multiple drug tests that all came out negatively. Of course this proof and the security footage that came out on the actual culprits is not offical, but much is confirmed and the one who posted it did one hell of a deep dive into all documents and footage he could find and looked into all of it in great depth and details and it makes so much sense once one sees it. I was extremely anti-Seungri as well, until I saw all of this like a month or so ago now. Of course he still did some stupid shit that shouldn't be excused just because he's famous. He's been extremely arrogant and nonchalant where he should've been apologetic and humble to the situation afterwards, but from all new information that's come out it doesn't seem that it was AS bad as we first thought. Thank you for this wonderful reaction Daniel, as always, looking very much forward to the GD-documentary (anxiously as well though, because it really is a tough one to watch) further on!
