I agree. I love these two and this show but the ending of this one really doesn't work for me. The plot falls apart for the reasons you've highlighted.

He couldn't contact the police and get them to track the call ðĪ maybe you can't get the exact location but it's a start. Also the ending explains why the other guy doesn't seem to care about being killed. He was just gonna be smacked in the head or be forced to jump off a bridge. He wasn't being held at gunpoint or something. He could have tried to fight. I thought it was strange he was just accepting what was happening.
