This is it - the final chapter of Under One Roof!
I really wanted to make this one longer since it's the ending, but honestly every time I tried to extend it further, it felt like I was just dragging things out. Sometimes the story knows when it wants to end, and this felt like the right place to let Elena and Clyde's journey come to a close.
I rewrote this chapter completely because the original ending felt too rushed and didn't give proper closure to everything we'd built over 12 chapters. This version hopefully gives Elena the character growth she deserved and shows both of them making the mature choice, even though it's heartbreaking.
Thank you all so much for following this story from the beginning. Your comments and support made writing this so much more enjoyable, and I hope the ending feels satisfying even though it's bittersweet.
