Howdy, Initiates—Chief Reactor Engineer Cole Mercer here.

I reckon y’all have been waitin’ for this, so let’s get right to it. We’re rollin’ out a special staging build of Reactor Ops, exclusively for our Reactor Initiate tier members. This here build is your chance to tinker with the latest features before anyone else and lend a hand fine-tunin’ the system.

Got thoughts, ideas, or somethin’ to say about what’s under the hood? Head on over to the General Chat channel and let us know. Just keep in mind, with our release schedule tighter than a Mech’s heat sink on full throttle, we may not be able to wrangle any big changes right away.

Our aim? To have version 0.9.2 polished up and ready for public deployment in just a few days. When that time comes, we’ll be sendin’ out another announcement, along with a quick project update, so stay tuned.

You’ll find the detailed notes about what’s changed below, but for now, here’s your special access link:

Now, a word to the wise—this here staging build is just for y’all, our Reactor Initiates. It’s a privilege, and to keep it that way, we kindly ask you not to go passin’ the link around. Let’s keep this circle tight, partners.

Thanks for ridin’ along with us as we push Reactor Ops closer to perfection. Happy testin’, and as always, keep your systems green and your reactors hummin’.

Version 0.9.2 contains the following updates and improvements:

Force Preview from Search Page

The Search Page now includes a Force Preview feature, displaying the total unit count and force BV for your selected units. This allows you to monitor your force composition and BV in real-time, helping you build a force that meets your target BV without needing to frequently switch to the Force page. Additionally, the Force Preview button lets you view the names of your selected units at a glance.

Unit Preview from Search Results

You can now preview detailed unit information directly from the Search Page for each search result. This feature provides you, the Commander, with valuable insights to determine whether a unit fits your force and gameplay strategy. The unit details are presented in a format nearly identical to the unit cards on the Force page, ensuring consistency and clarity.

Adjustable Search Results Per Page

Search results now offer the flexibility to display 15, 30, or 45 units per page. Previously limited to 15 units per page, this new option is particularly useful for reviewing large numbers of units, making it easier to evaluate and compare them with the new Unit Preview feature.

Include Common Units in Faction Searches

Faction searches have been enhanced with a new "Include Common Units" option. This feature allows users to include "general" or "common" units—those available to multiple factions during a given era—in their search results, in addition to units explicitly marked as belonging to the selected faction.

For example, during the Clan Invasion era, ComStar's faction availability in the Master Unit List (MUL) might explicitly list 100 BattleMechs. However, ComStar also has access to units categorized as "Inner Sphere General" during the same era. With this new option enabled, you can include these common units alongside the faction-specific ones for a more comprehensive selection.

Additionally, you can still view general/common units for any era by selecting the "Common" faction filter.

Improved Faction Organization

The Era and Faction filter list has been reorganized for easier navigation, grouping factions by type (e.g., Inner Sphere, Clan, Periphery). This improvement streamlines faction selection, making it quicker and more intuitive to find your desired faction.
