Reactor Ops Update v0.9.3

Cole Mercer here, ready to power up the latest and greatest from the Reactor Ops lab: v0.9.32! And let me tell ya, it’s packed tighter than a fusion core with upgrades, new gadgets, and a whole lotta polish.

First up, we’re rolling out user accounts, giving you a way to make Reactor Ops truly your own. Then there’s the new Command Page, where you’ll start organizing forces like a proper field marshal—complete with the new Hangar Vault for cataloging your models and the OpFor Generator for cookin’ up forces on the fly. 

But we didn’t stop there. Exportin’ to MegaMek now runs smooth as silk with .mul files, and the revamped Unit Details page? It’s got enough data to make even the most detail-oriented Commander grin.

Major Features

1. User Accounts

• You can now create and log into a Reactor Ops user account, laying the groundwork for more advanced force-building features in future updates.

2. The "Command" Page

• A central hub to oversee your forces, with more functionality (like managing Saved Forces and formations) coming in v0.9.4.

• Two new features available now:

Hangar Vaults

• Catalog and save lists of your physical models, including official minis, 3D-printed, or proxies.

• Use Vaults to filter searches based on your collection.

How It Works:

• Narrow search results to units you own.

• Combine Vault filters with Era, Faction, Weight Class, and more.

• Ideal for collectors and players focused on WYSIWYG armies.

OpFor Generator

• Create random forces for narrative scenarios or gameplay.

• Customization options:

  • Tech Base, Era, Unit Type, Hangar Vault, and more.

• BV prioritization ensures forces align with your parameters.

3. Export to MegaMek

• Forces are now exported as .mul files for seamless use with MegaMek and Flechs Sheets.

• Retired the old zip file export containing individual MegaMek data files.

4. Patreon Integration

Exclusive features for supporters:

• Hangar Lists Upgrade: Save up to 12 lists with 100 models each.

• OpFor Generator: Generate random forces using models from your Vault.

• Link your Patreon via Account > Patreon with Patreon’s secure system.

5. Enhanced Unit Details

The revamped Unit Details page now includes:

• General: High-level overviews.

• Technical: Ranged Damage Ceiling, armor/movement stats, full location and critical tables.

• Availability: Faction availability by Era (MUL-based).

• Add to Force: Quickly add units to your force directly from Unit Details.

Additional Features and Fixes

• Intro Year: Now displayed in Unit Details.

• Slider Improvements: Enhanced step increments and refined ranges.

• BattleMaster Quirks: Fixed missing quirks.

• Missing Units: Added Thunderbolt IIC 2 (Clan) and Arrow IV Carrier.

• Search Filter Tweaks: Continued refinements; added Cockpit Command Console.

• OmniTech Updates:

  • Added OmniTech as a filter in Search.

  • Displayed OmniTech info in Unit Details.

• Great Turtle GTR-2 Fix: Adding this unit no longer crashes the app - I have to admit it’s pretty funny that this is the unit that did it…
