I'm such an autistic mess. When the video said they even have a model for working with a septic tank, my first thought was "Then you live so far out in the 'burbs that you can get away with a compost heap, for a backyard vegetable garden. My family did that for decades." Of course that still leaves meat wastes. Pretty much the only thing that can compost are fish bones, which native Americans used for fertilizer. I simply don't cook with any meat that leaves wastes. Ground beef and turkey only yield a little grease I can pour into a reused juice concentrate can. That stuff is solid at room temperature, and can go in the trash without making a mess or stink. And on that cheery note, happy ChristmahanukkaKwanzaaFewstivus, everyone!
