🎉 One Year of Reactor Ops — and a Glimpse of What’s Coming

Hello friends!

I just realized today marks the one-year anniversary of the launch of Reactor Ops — and what better time to share a preview of the very idea that started this whole journey: the Campaign Manager.

When I began building Reactor Ops a year ago, the goal was simple — to make it easier to play BattleTech campaigns. Thanks to your support, we’re now closer than ever to realizing that vision.

⚙️ The Chaos Campaign: Mercenaries Campaign Manager (Preview)

This upcoming feature will allow you to:

• Enter your negotiated contracts and cover your maintenance overhead

• Record track (battle) reports and automatically receive combat pay

• Manage your combat roster

• Review a ledger of all credits and debits to your mercenary outfit’s account

• Export everything to Excel or Google Sheets for easy record-keeping

The Campaign Manager takes nearly all the math and paperwork out of running a Mercenaries campaign. You’ll be able to apply Support Point actions — repair, rearm, purchase, hire — directly from the Units tab, and view an overview panel that displays your Support Points, reputation, scale, and the BV of all units not marked as Truly Destroyed.

I encourage you to explore this preview build and share your feedback! There’s still some polish and testing to do, but this version represents what I plan to release in the coming weeks.

⚠️ Important Notes

0️⃣ Formation Required
To enter a Force into the Mercs Campaign Manager, you must first A) save a Force, and B) run that Force through the Formation Engine to generate names for your pilots.

1️⃣ Mercs Campaign Only
This version supports the Mercenaries Campaign only — the standard Chaos Campaign will follow soon.

2️⃣ Features Still in Development
The initial rollout won’t yet include Formation management, SPAs, or Alpha Strike (AS) support. You can still use Formations you’ve already generated, and the system can easily adapt to AS campaigns in the future.

3️⃣ Preview Site Retirement
The preview site will be retired after this upcoming release. Historically, most feedback comes once features are fully live — and retiring the preview helps keep hosting costs manageable.
