Update 3 on the End of Power Corrupts
Added 2022-09-19 22:22:39 +0000 UTCI’ve animated just about every scene now. There are always a few loose ends to tie up, but essentially, I will begin the editing stage soon (adding visual and sound effects, music, arranging scenes, etc), and that always goes much more quickly than the animating stage. In other words, it won’t be long now. It’ll most likely be uploaded this week.
I have to say this feels very strange. As I finished animating the final scene, I wondered if it was the last time I’d ever animate Yahweh, Lucy, and Jeffery - at least in terms of the Power Corrupts story. It’s been eight years! It sort of felt like graduating high school and college at the same time.
One thing is certain. I learned a lot. Now that the series is ending, I have a much better idea of how to handle things if I start another series. First, I will write the whole story - every episode. Then, I will create all the assets I will need ahead of time. Since that will take a long time, I will simultaneously work on other videos. But, once I have those assets done, I will be able to start animating everything at a much more consistent rate than Power Corrupts. Instead of having to wait months for an episode, I could put them out much more regularly.
