I tried to compensate by drinking much more than usual. I had plenty of water and Gatorade, but my body got rid of it faster than I could replace it. I had painful nausea, so ingesting anything was torture. I hadn’t eaten anything for days. It all caught up with me. I was creating the titles for the biblical citations, one of the last steps, when I lost consciousness. I collapsed and stopped breathing. My wife did chest compressions. She saved my life. I woke up in an ambulance, freezing cold IV fluids going into my arm. At the hospital I tested positive for the flu, negative for covid. I had the covid shots but neglected to get a flu shot. Guessing that’s why this hit me a lot harder than covid did. Anyway, I’m home now and I’ll be okay, but I’m still very weak. Sitting at my desk and typing this is agony, but I wanted to release this animation before year’s end. Learn from my misfortune. Get your flu shot. I'll be back to work as soon as I can tolerate being vertical.
