My earliest memory of a state park was the multi-hole outhouse, probably created by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Dreaming of that men's room, then waking up in time to get to a real bathroom at home was the start of a lifetime of dry beds. I've also had a lifetime of occasional, always very helpful dreams, of increasingly unusual, non-sensical, even bizarre excuses for bathrooms, sometimes reached through Byzantine passages. Some day, I'm going to create a cartoon about the scene in C. S. Lewis' The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, where the ship is passing through a fog that causes everyone to relive dreams. There's a warning "Not just daydreams, Dreams!" This is followed by various freak-outs. I will add one of my cat characters, calmly, but sadly leaning on the ship's rail, saying "Worst ... bathroom ... ever."
