Back then, he'd probably also be the local TV clown AND hosted Bowling for Dollars during the Film at 2 PM. Also, for maybe the first time ever in one of these shorts, the mom actually looks like she could be the actual age of the boy's mother. Usually they are matronly to the point of being within a few days of death!
