You're entirely welcome, and thanks for the technical details. If Photoshop doesn't have a function that allows the drawing brushes to be used for erasing, I will contact them about that, and if you have any of your Sketchy videos on YouTube, I'll give them a link, so they can see what you're able to do, your hack of erasing.

Thanks, Bill! I use an iPad app called Procreate (it's available on many platforms, I just use it on an iPad). I use an erase tool that basically uses the same brushes as the drawing tools, and I vary the brush type and size to achieve the effects I'm after. Sometimes I use the iPad's built-in screen recording capability, and if I forget to activate that before I start drawing, Procreate has a time-lapse export feature I can use after the fact. I'm glad someone's enjoying the art videos!

Hi, Josh,
I'm still enjoying these, and I'm amazed by your negative space coloring procedure, where you first broad-brush a color (on a new layer, I'm sure), then go back and erase what's not wanted. How do you do that last part so accurately? Do you vary the size of your brush tip? Is it through pressure change, or do you have to adjust a brush size slider?
I only have access to basic Photoshop, because I find Gimp just too difficult to figure out. What do you use?
