Hello, new member here! Although I've been lurking since Dark Pixel days, haha. I would LOVE to see more arrangements. Specifically, I'd love to see your interpretation of Corridors of Time. I agree with Bryce when it comes to watching anything you make, simply because you make it. It's your passion, thoughtful consideration, and articulation (both speech and musically), that seems to draw many of us here.

Mike, I feel if you give up on something you want to do in favor of stuff that just does well currently, I can see you sliding back into doing everything you didn't like doing again when you were Dark Pixel Gaming. I also think it is a little unfair to think a style of video you have a few completed videos in would do as well as the content you built the channel and community on. Maybe the book reviews, movie analysis and orchestral arrangements will just have to be passion projects, videos you create to stay sane or for the pure enjoyment of it, a long with the game retrospectives until they catch on. I know there are many of us who will watch anything you make just because you made it, as our support, but we all would be deeply saddened if you quit content creation because you became burnt out on just making one type of video again. I remember the passion and excitement you had at the refreshing prospects of what the rebrand meant you and Casen and I understand there have been some health issues and setbacks since then, but I encourage you to keep doing what you love, creators who make content out of passion will foster and grow communities around those passions.

Comment from a new subscriber that is binging all your videos and truly sold on the content you create: 1) the Wind Scene orchestral was amazing and if you continue I'd love to see your music on Spotify. 2) Your content is gold and you have a clearly curated channel aesthetic (which goes a long way in a world enveloped in marketing), so don't be embarrassed! 3) Your Retrospectives are what I personally joined up to see, I just truly appreciate deep dives into the various JRPG worlds you've explored (especially of the 90's era). But I really did enjoy the video you put up covering Eiyuden and would love to see you more off the cuff being passionate about current projects you are seeing. It's nice when myself as a consumer of your brand can also be current with the news that pertains to your brand (if that makes sense). 4) Dude yes, discussing the thematic meaning of these games is another reason I'm really supportive of what you are doing here. Your quoting of creators and hard look at the themes presented in games set you apart from others just simply reviewing games. End of the day, prioritize your heath and time - but as someone fresh to your content I can't praise it enough and will simply stick around just to see you pursue the passions we (and obviously so many others) share.

Hi, Perrydice! At this point, now that we're on our way to 120k subscribers, I would consider anything below 20k views after 1 week to be a failure. We should be hitting at least 20k views per video at this point.

Xenogears documentary would be a definite watch for me, and I do like the smaller videos of you just giving your thoughts on stuff like the Eiyuden Chronicle video.

I love the orchestral arrangements. Both the Xenogears and Chrono Trigger ones were great. I think you should keep doing them, but I understand how long it takes to get them out considering everything else you're working on. Like another commentor mentioned, you could keep making these but work on them more when you do have some free time or when you feel like actually working with music, since it may be a nice change of pace from everything else. It could also just be a YouTube problem, since a lot of viewers just have notifications off. Maybe you could consider doing a medley of a game's music, rather than a single piece to cover more of the music in that game (though that would probably take longer of course). I would also think that doing another piece like Aerith's theme or One Winged Angel from FF7, for example, may have higher views just because of popularity.

I always liked how a review channel also does orchestral arrangements. But given that you're in the middle of writing so many scripts, not being able to release another review video anytime soon, you should probably just focus on the revision scripts and FF14. But that Xenogears documentary sounds like an AWESOME idea!
