Sci Fi Month kicks off with glorious new Space King content! Praise Be To Space King! High resolution turntables here.

So episode 3 dropped not too long ago and I'll be creating most of the new Space King stuff from it. Starting off, Terry was definitely the standout character for a bunch of reasons. Hope he sticks around! Right now I've got Terry BB (Before Bryce) but I'm sure fans will want a Terry AB version (After Bryce). 😅

The new episode also debuted their regular intro which includes Space King's version of the Aquila salute as demonstrated by Captain. Speaking of Captain, I've decided to incorporate his head into this month's rotation. In my mind, Captain is actually a very emotionally complex character. I'm serious, he can convey bewilderment, annoyance and unbridled rage in the blink of an eye. That's Oscar worthy range if you ask me. 😄

Anyways, here is the new stuff I have for Terry, Captain and Hatemonger so far. Like the last Sci Fi month with Space King content, I'm going to keep this in house and not promote it publicly. If you like Space King content, just support Flash Gitz directly. A year ago, I would have said the Space King series is an acquired taste but since they're crushing a lot of mainstream content right now, I'm pretty sure that's just not true.

Next up is the God Emperor of Dune! The God Emperor is the Master of Mankind by the will of the gods, and master of a million worlds by the might of his inexhaustible armies. He is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly - oh wait, wrong script. 😅 No but seriously, the concept of humanity's God Emperor is one of the many ideas from other settings that the Angry Company looked at and said 'yoink'!

In execution, it's a little different. I'm not very well versed in the Dune lore but TLDR, Leto Atreides II is the son of Paul Atreides from the movies. He became this worm-like hybrid to ensure humanity's long-term survival by following his Golden Path. This is basically a plan that would regulate spice production and force humanity to evolve in specific ways that would prevent their extinction. Woah, déjà vu.

To do this Leto II decided to fuse body with the sand trout, the larval stage of sandworms, at the same time consuming large amounts of spice. The fusion with the sand trout, combined with his control over his body down to the cellular level, began the process of his physical transformation into a hybrid human-sandworm. His new body granted him immense power and extended his lifespan dramatically, but also meant his humanity was slowly consumed by the worm.

So in older book art, Leto II looked like a human head inside a sand worm sleeping bag. More recent art seems to depict him as a bloated pink humanoid with the lower body of a sandworm. I generally like the newer interpretation more as his metamorphosis looks more organic. So I stuck closer to that version while showing how the sand trout can encyst his body.
