We are changing our payment style for a number of reasons and feedback we've gotten over the years:
1. Imgur is cracking down and removing all 18+ material tomorrow, so we figured putting it all into Patreon makes more sense!
2. Our old payment style was "per image" and we only posted once a month. This was to prevent people from joining, not paying, taking all of our hard work for free, and then quitting. This was unfair to us and to everyone else who was paying. We couldn't do a monthly payment, because it charged on the first of the month, so if you joined on the 28th of the month, you would be charged AGAIN a few days later, which was terrible.
3. Waiting a full month to get the images feels terrible. You join on the 2nd, and have to wait until the 5th of the following month to see anything? That sucked.
Well Patreon has improved, and there is a new payment style! Patreon can now charge up front, solving the issue of getting all our content for free, AND you are charged monthly on the day you joined! Which means if you join on the 28th, you will have full access for a month until the next 28th!
This also means we can now update weekly and not have to worry about people getting stuff for free!
