Hey everyone, welcome!

Hey guys! Thanks so much for coming on board with the Patreon. I really appreciate the support!

Just wanted to give you all a heads up that I am preparing to launch the new tiers, which to start with will include things like behind-the-scenes stuff, regular Q&A/discussions about game-related stuff (possibly via Discord or something like that - I confess I'm not entirely familiar with that app!), and some video discussion and review of some of my favorite supplements and games in my extensive RPG library. If you have anything specific you'd like to see as part of the tier offerings, let me know!

I'll give you some more specifics once I have them, and of course as current patrons, you'll have first crack at getting involved, should you wish. In the meantime, thanks again, and I'll see you all soon on YouTube!

I will do thanks!

I made 'em. Check out Black Magic Craft on Youtube.

It's just cool to see people experimenting with stuff like this. I had tried it myself earlier but I think the missing element was journaling. Because if you're not making a show like you are, or journaling the dialogue and events then you're just a crazy person sitting alone in a room talking to themselves LOL. I'm hoping to maybe publish it once I clean it up and make it flow better as prose. I did have one quick question. Your dungeon tiles, did you make those or did you buy them somewhere? Anyway thanks for replying and good luck with the show!

M0d3u5

Wow, thanks for that. I’m glad to have been some small help to you during your labors.

Allow me to over-share a little if I may. Last year I was in the middle of migrating 800+ people from the office to work from home due to the pandemic, as we are a tech company, when my wife was in a head-on collision with a drunk driver who was driving the wrong way in her lane (10:30 AM on a weekday btw). She was pretty badly hurt and I was already working 17 hour days because of the pandemic crisis. Shortly after this I tore a tendon off the bone in my right arm from overwork due to the long hours and caring for my injured wife as well as running the household alone. As the sole caregiver and breadwinner now I had to continue working and could not take time off due to my injury. The injury removed my ability to engage in a hobby that I had been pursuing since the 1970s, that being video gaming. I also had to relearn how to do my job using a host of assistive technologies and software. I had no way to de-stress or escape the grim reality of my life. Then I started watching YouTube videos about one of my other lifelong passions, that being Dungeons & Dragons (or tabletop RPG's in general). I had to give up my regular 5e gaming group because of the pandemic and then I saw your videos and realized that it was actually possible to play solo RPG's. I credit your clever use of solo RPG tools, your wit, your talent, your enthusiasm and your imagination for inspiring me to pursue my own solo games with which I have had tremendous fun. I have restored the very concept of "having fun" again and I owe it in some part to Me Myself and Die!. That is why I have joined this patreon as I wished to give something back. I'm also going to be picking myself up one of those sweet mugs! (Not the Simon sucks one, because we both know he doesn't.) Just so that this post does not come off as too maudlin, you should know that while I can no longer use my right arm as I once did my wife is on the mend and we've found a way forward and that's what matters to me most. Life is precious and happiness comes in many forms. May your show go on forever and may the swell of support on patreon continue to grow like a tidal wave... but not an evil one that you need a ritual to stop. A good tidal wave. Okay maybe not a tidal wave that was probably a bad metaphor. But you get the idea. Thank you Trevor. For real.

I wanted to echo Gray's sentiment and say that I'm supporting the channel so you can keep doing what you're doing. If you *wanted* to make extra content showcasing your awesome RPG/Mini's/Terrain collection, I am sooooo down with that...but only if you *want* to! Can't have our intrepid Host/Player/GM burning out on us!

I would love to send you my Wonderdraft map of the Ironlands.

I echo Gray and Eric's sentiments: I'm just wanting to support what you're currently doing and not ask more of you. You did, however, mention a "making-of" featurette, which I would like to see only to better appreciate the sheer amount of time and effort each episode takes to create. (So, basically asking you to spend extra time doing something to show me how much time it takes you to do something -- haha)

Travis M. Erickson

I'd like an in-depth tour of your minis and terrain collection.

Corey Mayo

That's a good idea, Eric. I'll add that Tier right away. Thanks!

I agree with this in that I'm not supporting you to get more, but rather to help you keep doing what you're doing. It's excellent! Don't overcommit yourself and burn out! The only thing I would suggest is opening up a $1 tier to allow even more people to jump in and support you. As your channel continues to grow (I have spoken), all those ones would add up I think.

Eric Bright

Me too. It turns out I fall into the category of solo gamer who keeps a detailed journal - after a week and half mine runs to 47 pages in Word and 18,000 words. I wouldn't have known where to start without this amazing channel.

Gray

I am supporting you to keep you doing what you do, not to expect more from you. The production values you use on the channel are so high and must take so much time and effort that I am reticent to ask for or expect anything here that would take up too much time. That said - it'd be lovely to have little polls or similar here so we can let you know what products, settings and characters we are enjoying the most - to help you decide future content. If the top tier was the chance to work with you to design an NPC to be encountered, that'd be fun I am sure.

Gray

I have been inspired by your videos and started my own solo adventures using Mythic etc. Despite enjoying myself immensely I look like a complete amateur to you. As a partreon I would love to see some hints, tips and behind the scenes on how you creat your videos.

For me personally I'd love to know more about your RPG library and how you've used them in your games. Watching season one I learnt a lot about handling failure, something that I now see as something to be embraced rather than something to be afraid of. This maybe something to cover in Game Tips. For example, PC Negative Abuse Information was an important lesson for me as it led to a Perilous Wilds encounter with the Giant Centipedes; as an encounter was the most logical outcome given the PC Negative context as the lights were out and the whole village was eerily quiet. The fact that Abuse Information didn't translate to anything useful and wasn't used didn't matter. And that's the part I had trouble with but thanks to your show I now know how to go with what works logically and not sweat it. I also roll the dice less often and only use then when I'm not sure what would happen just by using logic. Thanks! Fan for life. :)
