Blitz Chapter Poll
Added 2019-03-05 00:25:21 +0000 UTCOkay, so because Blitz has officially hit its one quarter mark -- I think I mentioned that in a previous post, right? If not, yay, we're a quarter through. Anyways, since I hit this landmark, the editor and I spent the weekend going through all of the previous chapters I've wrote thus far in preparation of what's next.
This was awesome for two reasons. First, it gave me a lot of good ideas on how to carry out my plans for this story and keep all my duckies in a nice row. It also really affirmed me as a writer 'cause damn, just speaking from a literary perspective, this is work that I'm proud of and that's not something I say very easily. I had a lot of fun with nearly all the chapters but there was one in particular that I had both a ton of fun writing but also reading and it got me curious as to what you guys have been thinking so far.
Soooo, let me know which chapter of Blitz you've liked the most and if you feel like it drop a comment as to why you chose what you did. When this concludes I'll share my favorite too. Lastly, on the note of Blitz, I started the newest chapter today and already it's coming along pretty quickly so stay posted in the next week or so for that!

Chapter four, though it's difficult to chose as all are great. The dialogue in chapter four is exquisite, just brilliant. I can feel the character of Trent coming through more and his internal struggle. Brad also comes across strong in this one. The honesty in Trents emotional struggle is making me really care for him now. It's difficult to explain, it just clicked with me somehow. All are brilliant though so picking just one is hard.

2019-03-05 02:54:46 +0000 UTCTruthfully I had difficulty getting into the first couple of chapters. It wasn’t the writing, it was me trying to mentally fit all your characters into this one. A little shocked Evie and Trent got together and had Bree. I really couldn’t stand Trent for his self loathing, but in chapter 3 you could see the loss of his mom left a huge whole in his life that has never been filled. However, he keeps fighting this opportunity for family, thinking there’s a big conspiracy going on when Zoe asked him to standup for her and her shopping trip with Bree. I feel Brad can have a big part in making him realize people are there for him but he also needs to reach out. With only a quarter the way through I’m sure there’s plenty of time for him to either dick it up or find happiness. With all this said my fav is chapter 5, based my previous comment to that post. Sorry, I’m a little long winded.

2019-03-05 02:05:33 +0000 UTCI love chapter 2 cus like wow. I just love every scene. The dinner scene and the one in the rain are so perfectly sad but also super relatable. How many times have i had to give myself a time limit before I had to go be someone for everyone else? And just like feeling all this pressure and then having it all explode in front of you anyway. Your fault or not its still a lot to feel. And after that just like having that scene with Brad. And feeling just a little bit better. The problem not really going away but like being given a little support goes a long way. So that hopefully you can actually work through your shit instead of wallowing in your mistakes. I like this chapter because its about hope. And that even when your a fuck up and nothing seems to be working there's always someone whos going to be looking your way. Because fuck up or not you are worth it.

2019-03-05 00:56:45 +0000 UTCI do not have a favorite chapter an here's why...I haven't read any of it. I plan on waiting until it is all written and reading it all through then. Knowing how many parts are planned, reading any of it until they are finished and available would just drive me nuts. I would be antsy waiting for you to finish the next part. So I will set aside a weekend to read the entire thing when it is all out there. Until then, I will continue to read and look forward to the "scraps" you share with us. Thank you.
