The Wild One - Chapter Seven

Well, I'm back from the dead!

Seriously though, for all of you who have inquired and sent me kind dms, I am on the mend and finally getting back to things. It's been a minute since I've got to work on anything so I'm really happy -- and pretty excited too -- to be getting a fresh chapter out for you guys. Especially one that was as GIGANTIC as this one was -- nearly forty pages. Like, whew, it was a doozy to edit. But here it is finally and because I'm on the up and up I'm hoping we can get back to posting like normal again.

Also, I need to throw out that I haven't drawn a name for the raffle last month due to all the complications I had with my health so I'll be announcing the July winner with my next chapter update.

All right guys, I hope you have fun with this, but please don't hate me too much when you get to the end. Although, if you do, I'll just take that as a sign that I'm doing my job very, very well. Stay safe, be good to each other and as always, happy reading!

Brilliant, blumin brilliant. The intensity, the passion and the revealing of who is behind the ambush all adds up to this being the best chapter so far, which is saying something. Your opening statement did not spoil it for me, I took it as part of your rightful pride in this chapter. I actually thought that you would leave a cliff hanger involving the bounty hunter, a double bluff in a way. Personally it was a perfect ending to the chapter that allowed different emotions to be showed by Tug and Max adding a different element to the relationship, all this has me eagerly awaiting the next to see what happens next

I could say a lot about this chapter, but I think i’ll save most of it for when the story ends, and I can give you my overall thoughts on this story. I will say thought that this is the best chapter in the story (so far). The return of those who want Max dead, the reveal that her father is behind it all, the fact that soldiers are actually capable of fighting a matu, the stories at the bonfire, and of course the ending of the chapter. It may have been a big chapter, and you could probably split into two (the first part ending, when Max passes out), but I won’t complain. The chapter was amazing, and I only have one issue: Your opening statement. Don’t get me wrong Kelryn, I love those opening statements, but this one spoiled the ending for me. It was obvious that Max and Tug would be (temporarely) seperated, and a part of me had a hidden anxiety every chapter, that this chapter could have that moment. So when you said, we could hate you at the end of this chapter, I knew how it would end. I think its cool, that you want to share your side of the chapter with us, but be a bit careful, that you don’t reveal to much. See you next chapter :)
